Stayed here this weekend with two friends. The extremely large family room was perfect for us, the food at breakfast and on both evenings was plentiful and delicious. The staff were all welcoming, chatty and helpful - special mention to Carrie for making sure that nothing seemed like too much trouble at breakfast. The beds were very comfortable and the... More

The Buck is situated in a excellent position and which is an ideal spot to stop off after a days walking but the interior doesn't match the exterior. The inside of the pub is worn and tired and it gives off the atmosphere of a neglected church. The staff are so so some smile others look like their just going... More

Had a great stay our room was lovely it was newly re-furbished in fact we were the first guests to use the room after it was finished. Had lunch there whilst out walking with a group of friends .We were all left disappointed by the food .Unfortunately the quality of the food did not match the pricing and the beer was London prices .We'll try the Lister's Arms next time .

My wife and I looked forward to visiting Malham and first impressions were good. We had the room with the four poster, which was novel, but the room itself was tired. Wallpaper coming away in the bathroom, a hot water tap that was dangerous as the tap didn't turn but the whole bowl did and a bedroom window that you... More

On 11th April, my wife and I had a delightful pub lunch at the Buck. The beef and ale pie was excellent. My wife had a goats cheese and black pudding starter with a side of chips. It was very creative and substantial. The staff were attentive and friendly. Other reviewers have referred to the toilets. The pub and restaurant... More

The only thing of value about this place is it's a short walk from some beautiful scenery that is the only reason people use it at all everything else about the place is run down , unprofessional and massively overpriced . Making the mistake of ordering food here on good friday was the worst part of our trip to the... More

I was horrified at the prices, then saw the quality of the food which was worse then a little chef in the 80s. Chips where tasteless, giant Yorkshire pudding with the sausages was the size of a aunt bessy, ( that's a serious comparison) the roast dinner, two slices of pork which had more fat on then meat. Soggy veg... More
