We came at one minute past nine and they initially refused to serve us as they stopped serving at nine - although the place was full and others were ordering dessert. Tried to claim there were no tables. Eventually offended pie - "we have only pie" - when we pointed out this wasn't true and there were two spare tables....

Stayed for just one night in the village of Malham. I know the area well, and have stayed at the Buck Inn previously and was disappointed. However the Lister Arms is miles better. The Pub is excellent at being both olde world and modern and very tastefully done. They have a great selection of Beers and a nice log fire....

My first stay here to meet family for a meal. Excellent service when booking in nothing was too much trouble. Room lovely and fresh - I thought the home made biscuits in an attractive box was a very nice touch. The food was delicious definitely worth a visit. A wonderful night's sleep. The Lister Arms is in a stunning setting and the the bar downstairs gives a comfortable and welcoming impression. The beer was very nice. Terry & Kirsty obviously have their hands full running this place. They seemed preoccupied and didn't have time to chat.
