We stopped at the Lister Arms for a drink after a long walk a few months ago, and decided we'd come back and stay the night. We wasn't disappointed. Check in was quick and easy the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We stopped in the family room which was big enough and very clean. The food served in the... More

Met by manager Ross who was friendly but not fussy. Lovely room in the annexe. Great food served by funny and friendly waitress. Simply couldn't fault it. Lovely location for walking and chilling out. Would certainly stay again. Well done Ross and team!

The Lister Arms Inn is charming in an old world way. It is tucked away beside a bubbling creek near the start of the main Yorkshire trail, the Pennine Way. Part of the building is genuinely old, but the newer additions have been carried out well, with a consistent style. The dog-friendly pub area is very pleasant, and the dinner... More

Arrived after a long walk over Malham Tarn, with our two damp dogs, to a very friendly welcome. After checking in we were shown to our room which was ground floor by the courtyard, perfect for our dogs. The room wasn't huge but adequate and nicely decorated. The shower and fittings were new and of high quality as was the... More

What a wonderful place to stay. Check in was a smooth process even though the pub was busy, the room though a touch on the small side was tastefully decorated and very clean, a very thoughtful touch was fresh milk in a cool flask and homemade biscuits with the tea & coffee making facilities. We ate in the pub, which... More

We didn't stay here but enjoyed the comfort and warmth provided after walks on some rather damp days. A big log fire roared which was wonderful for those that were trying to get warm and dry before going to the camp sites. A fantastic choice of beers, good meals, we enjoyed the steak and ale pies and the afternoon tea... More

Visited the Lister Arms on a beautiful, sunny Saturday. Sat on the front lawn in a big extended family group after exploring lovely Malham Cove. We had pork pie, chips & beer - food, drinks and service were all great and the setting was flawless. I've reserved 1 star for a future visit to check consistency and perhaps to eat... More

Thank you for your kind review. Our home made pork pie, chips and beer, with the family in beautiful Malham...now that does sound Perfick!! We do get a queue sometimes at the bar, but we work hard to serve our guests as quickly as possible. Hope to see you dining in our restaurant in the future. Darren and The Lister... More

What a lovely place to go to eat. We went for an evening meal and it was wonderful. Walking inside it's a lovely ambiance, we did book because of how popular the pub is. You can eat at the bar but we did sit in the restaurant area. The barman was helpful and we went to sit at our table... More

Having booked a weekend in Malham we decided to eat in the local pubs. For such a large establishment that clearly caters for large numbers of tourists, it is a shame that it is only serviced by a small bar area with limited serving staff resulting in excessive waiting times. When I queried the reason why I waited 30 minutes... More

Thank you for the review. We welcome all comments whether positive or negative. We do get extremely busy sometimes, people flock to Malham when the sun is shining, its such beautiful place for walkers and families. We are limited by the current facilities we have, in our 300 year old listed building, such as the size of the bar and... More

The Lister Arms is a wonderful pub in an idyllic setting. Fabulous location for walking in Malham. The pub is attractively furnished. The staff are great, a perfect balance between friendly and professional and the food is quality fayre. We had a great time despite it raining mainly for two days. The weather added drama to the scenery and the... More
