Just stopped in for a swift pint after the obligatory walk to Malham Cove. Great choice of well kept ales made all the harder by the amenable of a Yorkshire cream tea and as it was Shrove Tuesday pancakes. Dog welcome. Nice open fire. Good spot.

Arrived on a wet Saturday afternoon to a warm welcome and lovely room. Fresh milk for tea/coffee was much appreciated and the shortbread biscuits were delicious. No bath, just a very small shower room...but fine for one night. For dinner we enjoyed a good choice of gin and beer beforehand and then delicious cajun chicken and chicken & mushroom pie... More

Our second visit to the Lister Arms but our first overnight stay. Lovely welcome and very warm cosy room on a very wet miserable weekend. Room small but perfectly formed. Good shower and pleasant furniture. Homemade biscuits and fresh milk a bonus. Fab food and good quality breakfast, excellent selection of beers and spirits. Very dog friendly staff genuinely like... This was our first stay in the Listers Arms and it was absolutely lovely. The room was comfortable with great bed linen and the best hospitality tray ever. Our room was a little noisy with floorboards, plumbing and neighbouring rooms but it wasn't really a problem and I am sure some rooms are quieter if you request it. They do... More

We stayed just one night at Lister arms but didnt want to leave! I was worried being so dog friendly that it may smell a little doggy for us non-dog owners...however far from it. The room was spotless and smelt like a spa!! Lots of high quality products from the bedding to the tea bags and also lots of thoughtful... More

We arrived at the Lister Arms with our two dogs on a frosty January evening after a long journey. We were made to feel instantly welcome and the room was warm, cosy and nicely furnished with heavy tartan wool curtains and bed covers. The TV worked too! The food was excellent and we were able to eat in the bar... More

We arrived on a snowy Sunday afternoon and so very much appreciated the glowing log fire. Our double room was small but comfortable, with a warm bathroom and pleasant shower. We ate our evening meal in the spacious dining room, enjoying the tasty choices of steak and ale pie and Cajun chicken followed by a beautifully presented creme brûlée with... More

We stayed in Malham for 3 nights 4 days from the 14th January 2016. We called in to The Lister on the Thursday evening and where made to feel very welcome with our dog Oscar by Fred, we both had a lovely meal, and Oscar was brought a rug to lie on (he was on cold flags) and he was... More

Had an amazing time with my boyfriends family, the rooms were homely and the fact we could take the dog in the room was a bonus. Staff were very accommodating, lovely and friendly. The food was incredible and very quick for 16 of us. Would definitely come back!

We ate at the Lister Arms as our original first choice location was not available. When you walk in, the atmosphere is very welcoming with an open fire burning strongly. The choice of beers seemed to go down well with our group. Our meals were well presented and very enjoyable, 'Steve's pie' went down well with a couple of our... More
