Convenient location, easy to find and lovely place to stay. Its a hostel so its basic but that doesn't mean it bad. Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Wonderful atmosphere. Hot showers, warm and clean rooms and a clean shared kitchen. i stayed in a double room with my friend instead of shared dorms, only issue is the floors are quite... More

I stayed here overnight with my 9 year old daughter on 23rd December as we were planning on going walking in the beautiful Malham. The hostel was warm and clean and we were made to feel very welcome by the hostel worker Keith. We had dinner which was plentiful and very good value and breakfast was also super with a great... More

I recently stayed at Malham hostel with my walking group for a weekend away. The hostel was small but modern and thankfully warm (unlike some hostels I have stayed in). I couldn't fault the staff, who were friendly and patient throughout our visit despite some rather difficult members of our group. Keith was particularly friendly and helpful. The rooms were... We visited for the first time. When reception opened we were greeted by the lovely Gaz, who made us feel right at home. We had booked a private room which was ensuite and had good disabled access (room3).and was clean, warm and cosy. We used the self catering kitchen which was spotless. We had a laugh playing board games till... More

Great for the Dales walks and the three peaks in a stunning location and quaint village. Because the Hostel has had a recent upgrade it has fantastic and clean accommodation, great staff, very obliging manager, will definitely use again.

We spent 2 nights here on a mini-break treat so we could go walking in Malhamdale. The rooms are clean and, although not as fancy as some of the more dramatic hostels in castles, were comfortable. The 460k restoration has resulted in great showers, a really well equipped self-catering kitchen with lovely views, and nice bright colours on the walls.... More

Clean, modern and powerful shower! Stayed over one night, our ensuite room was large enough for us both and self catering facilities were clean and well stocked. Staff friendly and helpful (as with all YHA I have experienced).

We stayed in a family room - with three adults and 2 boys (age 10 & 12); whilst completing the Way of the Roses cycle route. This was everyone's favourite stop over. YHA is still best geared for 'own steam'' holidays. Secure bike storage, drying room, laundry facilities, brilliant breakfast, packed lunch. The boys would insist we mention the excellent... More

We stayed at Malham for three nights and were really pleasantly surprised at how the YHA has changed since i remember the dorms and chores of my teenage years. It has recently been done up and is a great place to stay. We stayed in a family room with 2 bunk beds and a sink. The showers are hot and... More

This YHA hostel sits in a stunning location. Very helpful and enthusiastic staff and the food served at dinner was inexpensive and delicious. There is also a lovely garden to sit out in and grass to lie on, soaking up any possible sun after a hard days walking the Pennine Way. Hats off YHA !
