4 friends stayed here on a battlefield tour of the area. Lovely hotel in a lovely town. Hotel is fresh, clean and very welcoming. We stayed in the annexe which has its own walkway and lift to the street. The rooms were v large - tasteful and very clean. On suite was superb - all over shower and bubble bath... More

Old fashioned furniture, nice antique style bathroom, in a quiet surrounding. Breakfast in a modern annex, wit large choice of local meat and cheese, friendly people, overall excellent location. Wifi is good, and there is free parking close by.

Perfectly sited, small, boutique hotel in centre of Poperinge, ideal for visiting the Salient if pampering, fine cuisine and wine are important. Gorgeous, spacious bedrooms with supremely comfy four poster beds with high quality linen. Fabulous, cosy lounge overlooking lovely garden for aperitifs. Front of house Paul was very friendly and helpful in a very unhurried way. Pegasus restaurant warrants a separate review as it... More

Stayed there for a week end in a large modern design room with fancy lighting , the atmosphere was nice. Bathroom was roomy too with a large shower and tub, but to our big disappointment the multi jet shower had only 3 jets out of 8 working. The tub was supposedly with massaging bubbles except we never managed to get... More

We stayed here for a single night in early April, whilst touring Belgium. After our trip we felt wished we should have stayed longer. The hotel: - central location, two buildings on the street about 200m apart, one has the reception, restaurant etc, the other just rooms. We were in the 'other' one in the room in the loft. We... We have stayed here four times, three in the hotel and once in the guest house and we keep coming back. I've just booked again for June. We simply cannot find anywhere better in the area. The rooms are fantastic, all different, and have real charm and character. We stayed in the top floor of the guest house which is... More

The original part of the hotel is a charming nineteenth-century building (apparently it was once a tobacco factory) with impressive surviving detail including original floors, doors, windows and wooden staircase. The hotel is almost next door to Poperinge's attractive little central square which has some nice pubs (see separate entry). A bit disappointingly our room was in the modern annex... More

The Hotel Recourt (we stayed in a small satellite facility). The place was spectacular -- quant, large, well-appointed and quiet. We really liked the rooms and the staff were really helpful. A great choice -- and it was nice being away of Ypres, which was rather busy in comparison.

we stayed here for 4 nights 9th-13th nov 2014. Room was very warm and windows did not open for fresh air. Jacuzzi bath in our room but only over bath shower with no curtain or screen making it difficult to shower. First night after check in the manager let himself into our room in the early hours, before realising we... More

We spend a few days in "Flanders Fields" area, stayed at hotel Recour as it is perfectly located amidst the sites around. Stayed in Urania suite, it was just perfect, well appointed, romantic and all required amenities present. Including a hot steam shower. Welcome was warm and efficient, breakfast was excellent only the location of the breakfsat room is a... More
