Having stayed at Glenferrie Lodge twice during our visit to Australia, we can confidently say it is an exceptional place to stay in Sydney. It is in an excellent location for views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge and at the heart of everything the city has to offer whilst being in a safe and quiet area. If you... More

Great location, just on the north side of the harbor and 15 minute walk to Milton point. Internet extremely fast and included! Beds were comfortable and room was adequate. Equipped with a small fridge for your use, a wardrobe for clothing and air conditioning unit. Sheets were changed during our five night stay and towels replaced, very nice. Great balconies... More

Dear 'Worldttravel A' Thank you very much for your lovely review. I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay. and Especially the extremely fast internet. We are proud of this as most guests get 10 meg both down and upload speeds which is exceptional for sydney and something we've worked hard to obtain. As to the breakfast we note that... More

We were very pleasantly surprised by Glenferrie Lodge, we read other tripadvisor reviews and were tempted not to go because of them, but it wasn't like that at all - so much better than we expected! It's in a very nice, quiet, safe area of Sydney - would have felt comfortable walking around here at night. Staff polite and helpful.... More

This lodge is located in a very safe and quiet neighborhood. the breakfast was provided daily as part of the package and was hot and excellent. We bought a weekly pass for $63 which got us everywhere we needed to go in Sydney via ferry, rail, or bus. A must if you are not renting a vehicle. Shared bathrooms were... More

We stayed for 3 nights and found it to be a great value place to stay. Very good breakfast! Staff were helpful and the location is great - just near the harbour bridge and a short ferry ride to central quay. We would definitely stay again.

This lodge has a lovely quiet location and is walking distance to the harbour bridge and the ferries as well as many spectacular views. When we arrived there were 5 or so small cockroaches in the room which we didn't mind so much as they are harmless and common in Sydney. The bed sheets and room looked very clean. The... More

Dear Erikazaria, Thank you for your lovely review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay. and that you enjoyed the breakfast and the cleanliness of the room. We are fastidious about cleanliness at the hotel and all the bathrooms are cleaned twice a day. Regarding the cockroach that you saw. I'm sorry about this occurrence. Unfortunately in Sydney it's... The ferry around the corner takes you to Circular Quay (passing the Opera House) in 6 minutes - the location could not be better! The area is nice and calm, I really enjoyed my stay in Kirribilli. The price is very affordable and includes a good breakfast. I stayed in a small room with shared bathrooms/toilets (mixed male/female) which was... More

The Glenferrie Lodge was a great choice for a 2 day stay. It's just beyond the main tourist areas of Sydney, but only a short ferry ride (1 stop), or walk across the Sydney Bridge (30 minutes) to the centre of it all. Views of the bridge and opera house. Short walk to good food. The Lodge itself does have... More

We were recently in Sydney for a wedding & the Glenferrie Lodge was central to everywhere. Its an old building so it can be forgiven for having a creak or 2, but the view made up for all of this. If you aren't a stair person then this may not be for you BUT it is definitely value for money!... More

Very good location for sightseeing visit to Sydney. We are a retired couple visiting Sydney for three nights to see the sights. We usually stay at a 3-4star hotel in a city centre. However booking at late notice gave us little option in our price range. We were very pleased with our accommodation at Glenferrie Lodge. The bedroom was small... More
