Located close to the river, where the ferry stops, and walking distance from the train. That makes it an easy place to start exploring Sydney beyond the CBD. Away from tourist spots, this is where and how relatively wealthy Sydney-era live.

My family and I were pleasantly surprised by this gem of a hotel, the only down side being that our 3 rooms were on 3 different floors and opposite sides of the hotel. We weren't too keen on shared facilities, but with a tight budget this seemed to be our best option, and honestly it was as good as you... More

Our large extended family gathered recently from all quarters to celebrate our mother's 90th birthday. At least five families booked into the Glenferrie Lodge as it was close to the venue (Mosman). We were delighted that we could meet over breakfast every morning or sit in the garden or on the balconies during the day; that we could get everywhere... More

Love staying at this hotel with my pets, fantastic area right near the bridge, trains, ferries and the shops, eateries nearby are great value. Plus parks to walk the doggies and close to beaches at Mosman. The grand old Orpheum Cinema is nearby also.

Spending over 100 nights a year in 5-star hotels, we only stayed in Glenferrie Lodge because it had a last-minute cancellation for a dog-friendly room with car parking available over New Year. I would normally not even look at a hotel where the facilities were shared, but we were pleasantly surprised. Our room, on the top floor of the guesthouse,... More

I really recommend this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The dinning room was bright and welcoming. The garden was peaceful and a decent size. But, most importantly in my opinion, the breakfasts were amazing! 5 minute walk to Kirribilli wharf and a 5 minute ferry over to circular quay. Very courteous and helpful staff.

Easiest way to arrive is to come in from Circular Quay and take F5 ferry (Neutral Bay) 1 stop to Kirribilli (6 minutes), then it's a short, albeit up hill, walk to Glenferrie. It was recommended to take train to Milsons Point, but it's much too far to walk with luggage. The Lodge is located in a very quiet location... More

A mere 10 minute walk to stunning view of the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge! About 20 minutes of pleasant walk from the nearest train station. Good selection of items for breakfast! Stayed on the 3rd floor, which was a hassle as we had 3 huge suitcases and I was the only guy! Good for exercising though.

We stayed 7 nights in Sydney at the Glenferrie Guesthouse. It was great value for the price. We had a small room with two beds and our own bathroom. My brother and sister-in-law had 2 beds, but their bathroom was outside their room. The price included buffet breakfast which had a great selection served in 2 good sized rooms. Tea... More

The best room with a private balcony overlooking the harbour complete with fireworks at night and given a complimentary free breakfast (usually $10), and all at $95. Great friendly service, front counter receptionist handled a disgruntled woman extremely well. Fairly modern room with all the creature comforts, air-con, fridge, safe, quality auto-lock doors, clean bedding, towels and carpets, ceiling fan... More
