Tucked away up a road that leads to the Peche Merle caves, quiet spot. Has a lovely pool with shade and sun. The twin room we had was not expensive so it was simply furnished. But dodgy shower head replaced before we have even asked. The evening meals are good value but as it is a small place don't expect... More

My husband stayed here in May, the owner and his family were the most friendly we have found. Great location for Peche Merle. Its not a 5 star hotel, but the owner and his staff and family make it so. Very helpful, even phoning up for tickets for Peche Merle. Thakyou for a great stay. Jen & David Melbourne Australia

Had lunch here with spouse and friends. They set menu was very good, the service was charming with a smile, sat outside under a spreading tree.....it was busy with mostly French customers, the proverbial good sign. No hesitation in recommending it.

We were staying in this nice place for one night for visiting Pech Merle. The hotel is small and simple, but with all necessary equipment including a nice pool. Very quite in the evening and night, pure nature. We had dinner on the terrace in the evening. Small regional menue, very good quality. I have loved the foie gras! Very... More

Lovely location on a quiet road. Excellent swimming pool. Walking distance of the village with a few shops and restaurants. Young staff, friendly and helpful. Room large, cool and comfortable after a long hot day with an excellent en suite (huge) shower with slightly strange cupboard type doors into the bathroom! Dined on the terrace - good food and wine.... More

I hiked into the hotel exhausted and was welcomed by friendly young staff at both the desk and the restaurant. My room was small but clean and comfortable. The dinner was excellent, the wine list short but high quality, especially for local Cahors. The value for your money cannot be beat. It is near Cahors and in lovely nature. If... More

Another extremely pleasant stay here - this time, I noticed the details: the excellent linen: the comfortable beds, perfect to snuggle into after a day of travelling: the clean and newly decorated bathrooms... All these, together with the wonderful food ( I had looked forward to the lamb fricasee, sauteed potatoes and amazing vegetables all year and was not disappointed!),... More

This was our fourth visit to this auberge, and each time we have loved it. The peace and calm, despite being by a (not busy) road is remarkable - all one can hear are the crickets! Each of the rooms we have stayed in has been clean and furnished beautifully. There is a swimming pool, with chairs and umbrellas, so... More

What a gem! If you want a base for a couple of days to visit Pech Merle caves and this part of the Lot/Cele valleys, this hotel is perfect. The young couple who run it are charming and helpful. It's at the edge of the village in a valley and whilst the road to the caves runs by it, we... More
