This review is long overdue and I don't know if I can add much more than the last couple of reviews, which were excellent in capturing the essence of Rancho Margot. My 23 year old daughter and I stayed at the ranch in March 2011. Unfortunately, it rained most of the time that we were there, but we still enjoyed... More

We decided to venture to Rancho Margot for lunch after a hike and we loved it!! The food was buffet-style and was absolutely delicious. One of our favorite meals all trip! We loved that it was so fresh and health-conscious. We would have liked to walk around the grounds (which seemed beautiful) but they only allow this as a tour,... More

Loved the atmosphere, loved the mission. Be sure you know what you are getting into when booking here. It is an Eco-lodge that prides itself in systainability. I loved it, but it's not luxery (no AC). Food was delicious and included. Decent wifi. Very nice warm pool and free yoga. Only complaint, and reason for not all full marks, is... More

Racho Margot was an amazing paradise. The workers and volunteers love what they do and it shows. I had a blast horseback riding and they suited me with my perfect horse! When I come back to Costa Rica Rancho Margot will definitely be on my list! Oh and we did yoga and milked cows and played soccer with some of... More

A group of us traveled around Costa Rica and found Rancho Margot to be the highlight of the trip. The place is truly amazing, not only because of its beauty but also because of the operation they have. You start with a tour of their facilities where you learn about self sustainable practices, they have their own micro-hydroelectric plant, they... More

We are travelling around Costa Rica for 3 weeks. We had researched the Rancho Margot previously to travelling and loved the sound of what the Eco lodge stood for,so we booked 3 nights there with the expectation of being the highlight of the trip. However, we came away with mixed feelings. The positives are : The ranch is set in beautiful surroundings,with... We spent two nights here and absolutely loved it! We are a family of three (two parents and an 8 year old boy) and there was something here for everyone. We stayed in one of the bungalows which was absolutely beautiful, surrounded by a veranda and lush gardens. It was wonderful to sway in the hamock, read and watch the... More

We were really excited about staying at Rancho Margot - having read winning reviews on Trip Advisor and a big write up in our guidebook (Rough Guide to Costa Rica) we were expecting great things. Firstly the good points - the location is stunning, the bungalows are gorgeous and being able to sit on the veranda to your own lodge... More

I was in search of an eco hotel/ tourism and when I came upon their website. I was impressed but nothing like I was once I arrived on the ranch. I was lucky enough to catch a ride with the owner Juan from town, so I had a briefing before we arrived. The why, how, when ect... Nothing can prepare... More
