My family travelled from July 16th-28th. We wanted places to stay that would capture the authentic costa rican experience and Eco-friendly lodges. I decided on RanchoMargot for a three night stay in the middle of our 13day trip. I knew it would be more rustic than our other more higher end Eco-lodges that we were staying in but I really... We stayed four nights at the rancho, and it was one of the highlights of your 5 weeks in Costa Rica! The place is really special, and partly because of the wonderful friendly and helpful people there. The staff is so kind and makes you feel at home, and the volunteers working there are also friendly and full of tips... More

Second time I´m staying at Rancho Margot and still as fascinated about the concept that has inspired many changes at my own home with several projects still to be raliezed for me! Once you know how hard it is to convert the idea of self-sufficiency into a working process and maintain or even grow it, you´ll apreciate Rancho Margot even... More

We pulled into Rancho Margot after doing a hike at the Hanging Bridges. Lunch was served at 12:30, and we arrived shortly before that, so we grabbed a beer in the bar. Lunch is always buffet style and is made from ingredients from their farm. There were a variety of salad makings, pizza, as well as a pork dish. The... More

I spent three nights in a bungalow, ate the best food during my whole trip to Costa Rica and enjoyed yoga, hiking, swimming, and a even a little nightlife (bar on property)--all without leaving the ranch once. Honestly, I never wanted to leave. It was a beautiful place (flowers, plants, animals, architecture) and the photos on the website don't do... More

We did not know what to expect when we booked the Rancho Margot for 3 nights in April. Upon arrival, we realized this was no ordinary place. Fantastic experience. Food was amazing. Now I didn't stay or eat but attended a tour with one of your vendors (Jungle Jug). Oscar did a fabulous job providing a well guided tour and answered all our questions. I had planned to stay two weeks, but extended my stay for a full month. It was wonderful to be a part of this wonderful farm, and to meet so many of the volunteers who make the place hum! Simple and organic meals, no connection to the world (TV radio etc.) A very peaceful remote getaway
