We stumbled across this place by accident by driving to the end of the road...literally. Kayak guide, Manuel was great. We saw more wildlife here than anywhere else in CR. No experience with the restaurant or hotel other being told by a staff member we couldn't walk around the property, we had to have a guide...after the front desk told... More

The grounds of Rancho Margot are absolutely beautiful! The rooms however were a little more rustic than we were expecting. It would have been nice to have screened windows so that you could have a breeze through the room without being swarmed by bugs. The food was good, but it never said before we arrived that every meal was buffet... More

Thank you so much for taking the time to write about your experience at Rancho Margot. Your comments of course give us the opportunity to learn and make changes to improve our services, and we thank you for your honesty. To provide a more thorough explanation: we do not have screens on our bungalow windows because even screens greatly minimize... More

Clean, accommodating and full of outdoor adventure opportunities! This self-sustaining eco-lodge truly is a hidden gem that completely embodies Pura Vida! The staff is outstanding and the tour guides are fun as well as informative and passionate. I highly recommend the horseback tour - from mountaintop to river-crossing to jungle trails - unbelievable scenery and vistas. Also don't miss kayaking... More

I can't say enough about how wonderful my stay at Rancho Margot was. The staff was helpful and friendly. They had great recommendations for activities such as kayaking, white water rafting and zip lining. Sadly, we slept through our white water rafting tour, but made it a relax reading day instead. We spent 3 nights in #3, with our 2 boys (12 & 15). Great room layout with the king bed and 2 twins. Warning - the road getting there is very long and very bumpy (gravel/dirt road). But once you get over the road, the place is amazing. I couldn't believe how clean the place was kept all the time,... More
