i have been to many places around the world and I can say without reservation that Rancho Margot ranks among the top three. I just returned from a Mother-Daughter retreat and am already planning another trip back there. The food is organic, healthy, and FRESH! The staff is thoughtful, very helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. A special call out and thanks... More

Clean, accommodating and full of outdoor adventure opportunities! This self-sustaining eco-lodge truly is a hidden gem that completely embodies Pura Vida! The staff is outstanding and the tour guides are fun as well as informative and passionate. I highly recommend the horseback tour - from mountaintop to river-crossing to jungle trails - unbelievable scenery and vistas. Also don't miss kayaking... More

You have the most amazing and enthusiastic staff we hwve ever encountered who are passionate about sustainability and green tourism. We spent 4 nights at Rancho Margot as part of our 2 weeks trio to Costa Rica. All of the staff and everyone who works there are super friendly, offering really great service so that it feels like a home away from home. The work they are doing for sustainability is incredibly important and special and the Ranch tour was... More

I can't say enough about how wonderful my stay at Rancho Margot was. The staff was helpful and friendly. They had great recommendations for activities such as kayaking, white water rafting and zip lining. Sadly, we slept through our white water rafting tour, but made it a relax reading day instead. The bartenders make the best pina coladas and their... More

We spent 3 nights in #3, with our 2 boys (12 & 15). Great room layout with the king bed and 2 twins. Warning - the road getting there is very long and very bumpy (gravel/dirt road). But once you get over the road, the place is amazing. I couldn't believe how clean the place was kept all the time,... More

Beautiful place! Loved the passion of the staff and the eco philosophy of the outfit. Great bar and food and lovely big, clean rooms set in beautiful grounds. Very inspiring. HIghly recommend for all types of visitors whether backpackers, couples or families with kids. We didn't get to do the volcano hike because the reception had made a double-booking mistake... More

We started off our vacation in Costa Rica at Rancho Margot and couldn't have asked for a better start! We woke to howler monkeys in the distance, we ate fresh from the farm foods, hiked to a beautiful viewpoint of Arenal, slept with the windows open to clean fresh air.
