This is really a place to recommend. As soon as you enter the hotel you feel welcome ; you really feel a genuine hospitality in this place. Unfortunately an elevator is missing, so some struggling with the luggage is inevitable if you have a room on the second floor. The room was spacious, with a big terrace. Nothing really special,... We stayed here for one night as part of a self guided cycling tour. The hotel is situated at the top of the hill as you approach Monticello. There is a pleasant seating area outside where you can enjoy a drink in the afternoon sun. Our room was on the first floor with a magnificent view overlooking the valley. The... More

We have been spending about a week in this corner of Paradise during the last 5 years with my wife and now 12 years old daughter. Corsica is a gem, some villages are in a time warp and of course there are great beaches and unpolluted water and the food is very good. Monticello is a most cozy mountain village... More

Came here for a meal with my family, seven in total. Didn't stay so can only comment on the restaurant. Not a huge menu but everyone's food was beautifully cooked and presented. The service was excellent, subtle but efficient. Location and views are stunning. Overall a fantastic evening.

Eaten there several times over the years. The pear poached in red wine and rosemary was a delight. The location is lovely - but that's not difficult to achieve in Corsica. It is not cheap and is the only lunch option in the vilage - but you are paying for very good food indeed.

We stayed 2 nights. Our room was in good condtion and had a large patio type balcony, The entire staff was very helpful. Because it was easy, we opted for the halfboard, an extra 90 Euro for 2 people. I thought the price was high until I started eating. The food was outstanding. I would definately stay here again.

A gorgeous hotel in a unique location which is the focus of this charming village - apparently for locals as well as tourists. It overlooks the square and the church and has a lovely view of the mountains behind. Our room was lovely although there was no bath in the bathroom. The shower was great. The bar was very pleasant-... More

We spent one night in May 2012, on a self-guided bike trip; the tour company picked the hotel in this tiny village at the top of a hill. The room was adequate and clean, although we were on the side facing the village plaza and above the bar, so the outside noise was a small issue that went away by... More

We only stayed one night, sadly, but found everything about the hotel and the restaurant excellent. It sits in the middle of an unpretentious little village in the hills above the coast. Our room had a great view of one line of hills after another disappearing into the haze. Pleasant shady area in front of the hotel for taking drinks,... More

My partner and I have just returned from a week's holiday in Corsica and whilst there, we took in a tour of the delightful village of Monticello, where Frank Muir once lived. We noticed the restaurant called A Pasturella (strongly recommended in our guide book) and ordered drinks on the patio whilst we surveyed the menu. The temperature was in... More
