Finding Hegia is definitely a challenge, but it is well worth the effort. From the moment we arrived Arnaud and Veronique treated us like special guests in their home. Our room was lovely and the location is beautiful. On a stormy evening Arnaud served dish after delicious dish as we gathered around the wood burning ovens in his beautiful kitchen,... More

I have never experienced anything like our stay at Hegia. It is a B&B with a Michelin star, run by one of the great chefs of France. Arnaud Daguin comes from a long line of French chefs, and is the son of celebrated chef Andre Daguin. Andre, along with his charming wife, Veronique, owned a Michelin rated restaurant in Biarritz.... This is a highly unusual hotel, in the best sense. Each room is different, an extraordinary dinner cooked by M. Daguin is included, and the hotel's design and setting are stunning. If you like a hotel with all the extras (concierge, doting service etc) this isn't it -- it's a guesthouse really, and you are following the owners' rules, but... More

We just spent two extraordinary nights at Ferme Hegia. The setting, facilities and decor are outstanding -- one could not ask for more. But the best part of stay is the hospitality of Veronique and Arnaud and their incredible cuisine and wines. At the dinner hour, everyone convenes in the stunning kitchen for an apertif and then a dinner at... More

The only fault with our first visit to Hegia was its brevity. We stayed for one night while driving from Bordeaux to Provence. The guest house just outside Hasparren and 30 minutes from Biarritz was a big detour and worth every kilometer. In a world of "same," Hegia is unique. The amazing chef Arnaud Daugin and his dog greeted us... More
