It's a lovely place to stay, but you will run out of things to do very quickly, and with a 2 night stay you can see everything. We got a taxi from the airport for MR40, and arrived at 2pm. We had a ridge hut room overlooking the river, but apart from the pleasant sounds of a few birds and... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in a deluxe ridge top room. The room was basic as I imagined it would be. The view from my balcony over the jungle was superb. I had an Air conditioner which I used in the very hot evenings. Free transfer to the orangatan rescue centre and jungle centre was available a couple of times... More

We stayed here for 2 nights. They staff were all so lovely, greeted us when we arrived and informed us about the free shuttle bus to the orang-utans. The cabin we stayed in was great. Mosquito net, comfy clean bed, air con and fan. The outside bathroom was nice. Food was okay. Free breakfast includes: toast, egg and chicken sausage.... More

The views here are amazing and the setup is nice. Although the main communal area where you eat is dark and dismal you would think your in a garden hut. The food I edible but not the best cooking. Reminded me of a home made macdonalds. The staff are quite moody and not very friendly. I would suggest staying here... More

We stayed in the dorm rooms as no chalets were available when we booked, There are 2 dorms and the staff kept us (family of 4) alone in the dorm for 3 of the 4 nights. The dorms are beautiful with crisp linen and comfy beds. The kids loved looking around the Deer Park and the crocodiles. Shuttles to the... More

I spent 4 days in this resort with my mom and my bf in Febuary this year. it's been the best memory we've ever had. During the past 5 months we've been recall it over and over. i've been to different resorts in Southeast Asia , but this place is the one we would like to visit again. We even... More

The beds are clean, unless a critter visits and leaves a present. The food is average but decent. The best part of this lodging is the free shuttle to and from the orangutan center. They take you down at 0900 and pick you up for free at 1600. The main lodge, where you get food facilitates trading stories and information.... More

We loved our stay at the retreat and I must say that the room (a double en suite with bunkbeds) with its sliding wall sections that allow you to lie and look out into the forest, is one of the coolest and most memorable places I have ever stayed. The beds are comfy, come with mosquito mosquito nets (although we... More

I slept in a dorm room. The beds were good. The fans made it nice and cool and since the only seperation with the jungle were mosquito nets it cooled off in the dorm at night. The place is like the name suggests a retreat. They have a good working transport system and they dont mind to pick you up... More

Stayed a couple of nights here to see the sights of sepilok (orangutan, sunbeam and proboscis monkey sanctuaries, rainforest discovery centre) and just loved it. I stayed in a dorm - longhouse style, semi open but with insect mesh so could watch lightening as I went to sleep and was woken up by the sun. Great communal area, tasty well... More
