The rooms really make this place, wooden huts, basic but do have aircon and mosquito nets. The wooden wall at the front completely slides back revealing a small balcony and a view over the rainforest. It's quite special lying in bed watching the sun rise over the canopy whilst giant Hornbills fly overhead. The shower and bathroom also have an... More

We really enjoyed our stay at Paganakan Di, close enough to everything in Sepilok, yet far away enough to feel like you're far away. The common area was great for relaxing and reading and hammocks were around to chill out. The rooms were great, right on the edge of the forest. Peaceful with the jungle noises. Mosquito net and air... More

I loved my stay here! I was there for 6 nights which I would say was a bit too long, 2 or 3 nights would be perfect. Its really a gateway to the attractions in Sepilok including the orangutan sanctuary, the sun bears, the rainforrest discovery centre and the probiscus monkey sanctuary. After you have visited these theres not a... More

Aside from its clean bed linen and reasonable location, mine was a hugely disappointing experience and perhaps only highlights the very limited options available in the area. Quiet evenings were filled with awkward silence as eyes met over tasteless food and the slow grind of a failing internet connection.

Really interesting place to stay. The cabins are pretty basic but very clean and comfortable with mossie nets. The view from the balcony and from lying in bed was lovely. Staff were helpful and friendly. Menu was pretty limited and food was slow to come. Wifi was terrible.

I was a little disappointed with this hotel to be honest, I had really high hopes based off previous reviews, however I left feeling this place had so much potential but just didn't quite hit the mark. Staff seemed uninterested, the menu was really limited and their cash only policy caused problems when they didn't have any change. I love... More

Very good location for Sepilok orangutan and sun bear rehabilitation centres. Nice rooms and great views. The staff is very helpful and booked us for a 3-day river cruise with Mr Aji - another highly recommended experience. The food they serve is good, however it gets a bit monotonous after a couple od days.

We spent two nights there and it was absolutely great. I changed our dates 3 times and they were so patient. Rooms comfortable, relaxing, clean and beautiful with the bestest views of the rainforest! Staff very friendly and helpful, food good, different entertainments available (books, board games, cards) and ways to chill out (hammocks, wooden reclining chairs facing the jungle).... More

We extended our stay here, because it was super relaxed. The chalet was very well equipped with good soft bed and hot shower. Everything very clean and fresh with white linen. Smartly designed with sliding doors everywhere makes you feel like sleeping in the jungle. The restaurant is comfortable, but the food could be better by adding some veggies to... More
