I needed a family-friendly hotel in the Salisbury palin area of Southern England. Rollestone Manor was only 2 miles from Stonehenge, but on a side road which was acceptable. The Manor is fabulous with a history going back more than 900 years. We stayed in the 1830's extension, in a very large room, with high ceilings, and beautifully decorated. Lovely... More

My husband and I have just returned from a very relaxing short break at this wonderful and charming manor and the hosts couldn't do enough for us during our stay. The food was sublime at dinner, with a varied choice and the cooked breakfast came served on hot plates, keeping the food hotter for longer. We stayed in the Lady... More

t was such a pleasure to stay here! The hosts were very pleasant and helpful. The room was very beautiful, comfortable, and spotless. The food and service were excellent. We stayed only one night on our way from Heathrow to Devon, and the location was perfect - less than 2 hours from the airport and just minutes off the A303,... More

We were disappointed to be staying only one night. The welcome was warm but not intrusive or excessive, the room was very comfortable with a traditional feel but clean modern décor and facilities. The bed was very comfortable and the room was warm. Even the wifi worked well! The food, both dinner and breakfast, were expensive restaurant quality without the... More

Everything from the moment we first booked our stay was lovely. The hotel has a restaurant so we were promptly asked if we would like a reservation, and received a copy of the menu to browse. When we arrived, the lovely Paula offered to help us with our luggage up the stairs (as they are probably my only word of... More

Located just down the road from Stonehenge, this lovely little find has beautiful period furniture and comes complete with a little history about those who originally lived here. There is a very local pub in town, but not one which serves food, so you might as well stay in for an amazing dinner - but make sure you book! The... More

Stayed here for one night in the cardegan room and were not disappointed. The room was fairly large with a four poster bed, and bath in the bedroom. It was lovely and clean and nicely furnished but would have liked to of seen a solid four poster bed and not a mock up of one - bearing in mind the... More

We stayed for two nights in the Sir Nathaniel room to attend my partners sons wedding held locally. The room was large, had beautiful period furniture, lovely bathroom with colour changing power shower!! All the usual Tea, coffee making facilities and a beautiful view! Cyrille and Paula are the very accommodating owners who looked after us and our wedding party... More

I cannot fault this place. The accommodation was unique and fabulous, the food outstanding, the staff really friendly and helpful. This is intimate, personal and charming - and about as far removed from a faceless 'chain' hotel as you can imagine. One of my best ever hotel stays in the UK. I'll be back again soon.

We stayed at this lovely, cosy hotel on our way down to Brighton. The building is beautiful and our room was gorgeous, with a four poster bed and free standing roll top bath. The staff was wonderful and we had a very good meal in the restaurant that night. It was so relaxing and charming, plus only a stone's throw... More
