I stayed in the Pan Tower International hotel in Kaiping for three weeks in total. It's a quite large hotel, with a traditional look (lots of red and gold). For an international hotel, I was a bit surprised that the hotel staff barely speaks English. Only a few receptionists were able to help you in English. Restaurant and other hotel... More

First time to this hotel. I was fortunate to have a host for my second trip to China for business. After reading reviews here I discussed the "hard bed" with my host and he recommended I "upgrade" when checking in so I did. So for $90 USD a night I got a very comfortable / soft bed and worth every... More

After looking at quite a few hotel options in the area, we picked this hotel. Kaiping is a bit off the beaten path, but we always found one or 2 people that could help us, who spoke English, as we didn't speak Chinese. The hotel is very large and has a few different restaurants in it. Our room included breakfast... More

I stayed in room 1801 for one night. First thing I noticed was that the garbage bin next to the desk still had waste in it from a previous guest. The room itself is very plainly furnished and worthy of a 4 star rating as far as the room is concerned. The room was cold and there was no heat... More

Our group of five enjoyed our two nights at this modern Chinese hotel. Our rooms were large, well appointed, clean and everything worked with plenty of electrical outlets. The breakfast buffet was embellished with Asian and western choices and the brewed coffee was superb! There were no exchange facilities at the hotel; outside you will find banks but please allow... Firstly, this is a 5 star hotel by chinese standarts only! More likely a 3 1/2 stars by international standards! Our stay didn't start on a positive note, when upon arrival we decided to have lunch in the hotel restaurant, as we arrived after the lunchtime rush, I did notice that there were a lot of napkins on the floor,... Great view of the river from the rooms. Great morning Buffet and very friendly and pleasant staff at the HOtel. Though a bit away from the city centre but still definitely worth a stay incase you are a business traveller and are looking for a quiet place to hold business meetings.

This was somewhat of a dissapointment on our tour. The hotel was uninspiring and definitely Chinese. Rooms were "ok". Of the two restaurants the Chinese one was very popular with the locals. There was a somewhat non-descript menu, but the food was good enough. The Western restaurant in the lobby was surprisingly better. Nice menu, well prepared and decent wine... More

Nice hotel which met our expectations. Good standards. Our deluxe room on 28th floor was large and clean. Breakfast buffet mostly chinese but a large choice, we found what we liked. Only drawback is the location: isolated on a island , it takes 30-45 min to walk tto the city center which makes it a bit difficult to go out... More

Dear all, follow my business activities in south of China, I chose in Kaiping the Pan Tower Hotel (this my fourth time) in my opinion the only decent choice in this area..... The structure, quite old, a little out of the city, offer some different choices in term of restaurants. The breakfast in my opinion is not adeguate to 5... More
