Dear all, follow my business activities in south of China, I chose in Kaiping the Pan Tower Hotel (this my fourth time) in my opinion the only decent choice in this area..... The structure, quite old, a little out of the city, offer some different choices in term of restaurants. The breakfast in my opinion is not adeguate to 5... More

this is a typical "5 stars hotel" in China, meaning 3 stars anywhere else! the good things: -It is very well located, very closed to the main attractions in Kaiping. -The front desk staff can speak good English; -the rooms are big and clean with a very nice view on the river (we were at 20/F). -the price is quite... If you find yourself in Kaiping you could do a lot worst than the Pan Tower. It's got an imposing lobby the size of a football pitch. All appointed to a very high standard. Indeed space is the name of the game here. Good size rooms, decent restaurant and set in a pleasant part of town. Not near the centre... More

Since about 15 years I always stay in this hotel when I'm in Kaiping one or two times a year. First it was Ever Joint Hotel then they changed name to Pan Tower. Standard always keeps on the same high level. Rooms are very big and clean, all appointments in good working condition. Sometimes it's pretty crowdy in breakfast restaurant,... More

This was rated as a 5 star hotel, however, it would be rated at 3-4 stars in comparison to other major hotels in Hong Kong. The room was clean and adequate for our needs for two nights when we came to visit our parents' villages for the first time. There were two bottled water available daily and we liked having... More

After driving through Kaiping, (for our first visit ever) I was very anxious about the quality of the hotel we had reserved. Touring the city made me doubt that we would find a quality hotel there. Fortunately, the city is planning for many foreign (mostly business-related) visitors, and the quality of the hotel was a very pleasant surprise. True, it... More

I twisted my ankle bad on a hill at my ancestral village family plot. I returned to the hotel they provided a wheelchair for my stay, brought ice up numerous times throughout the night. In the morning they had a nurse spray my ankle with a cold/freezing mist, before going to the hospital.

It is listed as a five star hotel but that is a reflection of the type of facilities available within the hotel (pool, room service etc). I am also sure it is the best hotel in Kaiping but don’t expect five star hotel setting as one may expect from others such as Raffles, Peninsula, Shangri-La located in other major cities.... More

First I would like to compliment the hotel staff...extremely helpful. In particular, one of the front desk staff members was most helpful with my order dim sum. Electronic translator helped, but her verbal Cantonese was more useful. She actually accompanied me to the second floor restaurant and gave my order to the wait staff. Unfortunately, I did not get her... More

This hotel has an official five star rating, however I believe it only deserves four. This is because the rooms are a little bit old and the bathroom was just okay. But it is clean, and that is what counts. We stayed here on a tour, so I don't know what else I should say. However, there is a swimming... More
