A friend of mine and I have stayed over for a night whilst visiting Stonehenge and Salisbury and we enjoyed the house very much. It is set in a tiny village and the manor is very quite with plenty of green space and even horses. The hostess Wendy was absolutely lovely and made us amazing English breakfast. The room and... We had reservations and arrived about 25 minutes later than we expected to find a dark mansion on a poorly lit road with no visible sign to guide us to the manor. Definitely a spooky Halloween event. Called the number and talked to a young lad who said they had horse problems (?) that day. Finally, a young women opened... More

I arrived at 6.30pm and found the front door locked which is understandable for this type of property. However, when there was no answer when I rang the doorbell, telephoned and left a message and even emailed them I gave up and made alternative arrangements. LateRooms couldn't get a reply on the telephone either. So, as I never managed to... More

Our double room was comfortable and roomy, simply furnished. We had a private bathroom with shower. The breakfast in the manor dining room was very good, full English, cereals, fresh fruit salad, yoghurts on offer and a toaster to use yourself so you could ensure fresh toast. Our hostess was very friendly.

We had such a wonderful stay at Burcombe Manor. Wendy and her family were fantastic hosts and we loved our room, the house, the breakfasts and the opportunity to stay on a working farm. Loved the little touches such as the beautiful Vanessa Arbuthnot material in the bedroom (standard double) Unfortunately we were only able to stay a short time... More

You can fantasize that you are to the manor born when you stay here. I booked 11 hotel and B&B properties for our trip and my boyfriend was most pleased with this one. You can totally immerse yourself into the charm of a the rural lifestyle. I am most jealous in reading the review about being introduced to the horses... More

Beauty and serenity, real country Manor, large room and bathroom, gives a feel of what it may have been like in the past. Wonderful host Wendy, cooked excellent breakfast, large dinning room with large dinning table beautifully set out, spectacular views, and grand yet inviting lounge to relax in and lovely garden to explore. We recently spent two nights at Burcombe Manor and had a super stay. Nick and Wendy were incredibly hospitable - the rooms, breakfast and ambience were superb. The location is stunning with a decent local pub in walking distance. We will be returning!

We recently stayed at Burcombe Manor and I can not rate this place highly enough. The host (Wendy) was very jolly and welcoming and the view from our beautiful room over the typical English garden was stunning. Breakfast was everything we hoped for and more and we would highly recommend this place.

We had booked Burcombe manor as just down the road from our wedding venue. We had agreed with the owners that we would pick up the key to our room on the Friday. While preparing for the wedding, we had such bad weather that the Wed-Fri were completely taken up with trying to stop our marquee and gazebos blowing away... More
