Relay Chateaux hotels are always excellent but not always ideally located. This Hotel is on the Borders of France and Spain in the Cerdanya Region of Spain. Excellent for River water sports, Golf, walking and Biking. There are easy, medium and difficult bike rides into the local hills/mountains. Local towns and villages provide ample eating, watering stops and places to... More

I spent three nights in this lovely hotel and really enjoyed it. The service is outstanding. The staff can't do enough for you. The pool area is beautiful and so clean. Lots of tables outside for having a picnic under the trees. The restaurant is really good. Had two lovely dinners there and enjoyed both of them very much. I... More

Last week while staying with friends we made a special trip here for lunch. It was simply outstanding. The waitress coped with our multi-lingual party of French, English and Catalan speakers - often all talking at once. While the a la care menu was very temping - there was then another seven or eight dishes of the day - it... More

I have just had a short stay at this fantastic hotel with my husband. What a delight! We wandered round the beautiful verdant grounds with sequoias, walnut trees, a pond, an orchard and many other delights. I paddled in the refreshing swimming pool. We then had the most fabulous lunch. After a post prandial walk we went for a snooze... More

We have just spent a day and a night at this stunning hotel. If you want to go back in time to the days of art nouveau but have modern creature comforts and service to match, this is an ideal place. The grounds are simply exquisite with many rare trees and cosy corners to relax - check out the hammock!... More

This 1910 castle, converted into a hotel, is in a privileged setting, amid the mountains. Lovely view. However, the rooms are a bit tired, in need of a face lift. It is a shame, because the restaurant is fantastic, great food and wine. We took the bed, dinner and breakfast package and were not disappointed. The garden is well tended,... More

Because you are sleeping in a castle does not mean you will fell treated like one. The rooms smell moldy, the carpet in old and it is impossible to put things inside the wardrobe because of the smell inside. The picture of the hotel does not coincide with the real one. Don't stay there or you will be disappointed like... More

The chateau is really beautiful, and got a gorgeous view from the rooms of the mountains. The food was just delicious! A really good menu! Tip: Take the chef menu! The room is a bit old, but the bathroom is just unbelievable modern and nice! The staff are very nice!

I can't speak for the hotel, but the restaurant is fantastic. The staff were great and the food was delicious. We had the place to ourselves on a Wednesday night in the low season. A bit expensive, but given the setting and the quality it was totally worth it.

We spent 2 nights at Torre Del Remei during our Backroads bicycle trip "Pyrenees and Coastal Brava". The accommodations were very nice and the setting, grounds, Cerdanya were spectacular, especially for cycling. The meals, wine selection, and service were exceptional. This is a wonderful way to enjoy Catalonia.
