This hotel is basic but it is good value for money. It is situated next to a creek which in the summer on a nice day should give it a nice setting in nature. What sets this hotel apart is the restaurant. It offers good traditional dishes and is served by friendly, even if a bit too hurried, staff. I... More

This is a very modern, comfortable hotel by the peace of the river Duero. The service is very good and the wi.fi. in all rooms and free parking appreciated. The breakfast was reasonable. We had forgotten the plug adapter to fit our US plug into the Spanish receptacle and they provided us with a spare one. Very nice touch. The... More

I stayed twice in this hotel and I even decided to celebrate my birthday there last year. The location and the building are wonderful. The place and the rooms are very elegant. We loved the restaurant where the food is refined and excellent. It's a human-sized hotel where the staff is extremely courteous and helpful. I decided to organize a... More

We stayed two nights on a recent trip. We found this to be an excellent base for exploring the wine area, although most of the wineries were closed in September. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. My only complaint would be that most of the staff does not speak English. If you don't speak Spanish it can be a... More

We stayed for two nights in a really pleasant big room with a nice veranda overlooking the Douro River. Very nice toilet with all amenities. People of the reception were very, very nice and helpful. Breakfast was very good and complete. The architecture is amazing. A water mill converted on a Hotel with a contemporary and dashing interior. No doubt... More

Very good location by the river Duero. Great for running trails in the in area. Kitchen is excellent with both local/regional and eclectic modern cuisine. The soundproofing in the rooms though is not very good, but the ones on the first floor has a very nice shared terrace overlooking the river.

The hotel is situated right on the Rio Duero and all rooms face the river. It's a renovated flour mill with an impressive modern decor, especially in the lobby/bar/restaurant area. It was very unique. The room itself was nice and quite large with a great patio and at a great price. I honestly wish we could have stayed a little... More

It is a few years since I stayed in this hotel which is adjacent to the Rio Duero, which flows past the bedroom window. The hotel was at one time a mill, which had been converted into a quality hotel. The hotel had only been open for some three weeks and was very quiet, so we benefited from the personal... More

Fuente de la Acena is a lovely hotel. The main part is converted from an old water mill and the social areas have great atmosphere. The rooms are in an annex that is architecturally modern but fits perfectly with the old mill. The rooms are quite comfortable and have the usual amenities (minifridge, safe, etc.). The ground floor rooms open... More
