My partner and I stayed at the buck last week on the 15th and 16th April 2015. What a lovely hotel. The room was comfortable and we slept in a beautiful four poster bed. The view from our room was fantastic right over reeth and the central village green. The food in the bar was gorgeous you must try the... More

Booked online with credit card and got confirmation email, the day before travel, at 10pm had a phone call saying there was no room available! They cannot update the online system when rooms are booked !! As it happened we managed to ring around the next morning to get a hotel, which turned out to be excellent.

Stayed one night on a weekend away. Lovely bar and the staff very welcoming. We asked for a twin room and was able to check in straight away. The room was ok. It was clean and warm but a little dated. Tea making facilities were included but it was UHT milk which I do not like. This though is I... More

Lovely cosy bar in a welcoming hotel. New hosts who have chosen a perfect location. Lovely evening meal in the bar and great English breakfast the following morning. Good luck to the new owners, I am sure they will make their own mark on The Buck !

This is a lovely cosy inn on the green in the centre of Reeth. It's an old building so expected the usual quirks which come with something that age. However, you do expect a room you can walk around freely in, but you don't get that in room 9. The room was painfully tiny and further dwarfed by a four... More

I went here with my elderly parents for a meal for two nights running and we were made very welcome. The food was very pleasant and the menu catered for their smaller appetites. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

After an extremely warm, friendly and funny welcome from the landlord we were shown to room 9. If your looking at staying in a 400+yr old pub in the dales then I assume you will naturally expect small rooms, creaky floors and the odd cobweb. The buck will not disappoint. The comfy beds and ample heating led us to fall... More
