We booked a one night stay for our wedding anniversary through Booking.com. We arrived too early and were asked to come back after 4pm which we did. After a very long day we arrived back at the guest house to find that we had not been allocated an en-suite room which we had booked via Booking.com and were offered a... More

We had a lovely weekend at the Arkleside. We booked last minute and the only room they had was not en suite, but had a private bathroom; this worked fine and, as the room was cheaper, made the weekend great value. The room was small but lovely. Bottled water was provided in the rooms each day which was a lovely... More

A warm friendly greeting when we arrived at this clean and cosy guest house. Our room was small but everything was there including a generous supply of tea, coffee and biscuits. The view from our window and from the lovely breakfast room was absolutely fantastic. Situated in the centre of the village and handy for a few pubs serving food... More

Stayed at this cracking little B&B in Reeth during a Mountain Biking Event in September 2015. Our twin room was small but cosy, clean and well equipped with some nice touches (bottle of water, toiletries). Bathroom/shower room was small but has clearly been refurbished to modern standards. Breakfast was served in a delightful room and we enjoyed a high quality... More

We rang on the off chance of getting last minute accommodation on a busy weekend and the Arkleside fitted us in. Small room but I have stayed in smaller. However it was very clean and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent as was the customer service. I fully recommend this B&B.

Booked for a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room we had was small and it had two sloping beams to the window which made standing or walking round very difficult, the only chair was a whicker type which was really too small to sit in so the only alternative was to sit on the edge of... We stayed in room one, which only has views of the courtyard car park, I imagine some of the first floor rooms have spectacular views. The room was adequate but did not wow us. However, it served its purpose and I don't want to be too negative as it met our needs. We received a warm welcome and the owners... More

Spent a very comfortable weekend at the Arkleside Country Guest House. Room was well equipped, beds were soft and a choice of biscuits to go with the tea making facilities. Breakfast was a real feast with cereals, fruit and a choice of cooked options. Hannah and Terry were great hosts with a wealth of local knowledge, very friendly and even... More

My friends and I stayed here for two nights recently for another friend's wedding. There were three of us sharing a room with a double and a single. The room was clean and had everything you would need and expect. Our only minor criticisms would be that the room was quite small, and that the hair drier was pretty ancient... More
