This was our third trip to the Burgoyne and we chose it for our 25th wedding anniversary treat. The first time we had been with extended family members which was wonderful, and then for afternoon tea with a french visitor, which was a bit disappointing, but had loved our previous stay so much that we thought we would go again.... My wife and I stayed here for two days while in this northern area of the Dales and we give it top marks for our 7 day stay in various areas of the Dales. The facility is very old and has been in operation as a hotel for a long time as well. The service from start to end was... More

Booked this hotel during the summer for a romantic night out with my partner. Paid extra for the 4 course evening meal. The location and the room were perfect. Stayed in the Marrick room which was classy and comfortable. The evening meal was excellent and not rushed. Breakfast also fantastic. Staff were helpful and run a good hotel. Reeth itself... More

We stayed at this hotel for a friends 50th birthday, 12 of us in total. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the staff are very helpful and friendly especially Eileen. We had a four course evening meal which was outstanding, compliments to the chef and the cooked breakfast was one of the best we've had thus far. The owner... More

My partner and I have spent NewYear at the Burgoyne for the last three years and will be going again for the end of 2014 and the start of 2015. The hotel has a very warm and friendly atmosphere, with views looking out across the Yorkshire Dales. The owners and staff make you feel really welcome, the bedrooms are comfortable... More

We stayed in the Ivelet room, I should say rooms as we had a large bedroom, a sitting area, very useful for my insomniac husband and me, and a bathroom. Bath and shower. Televisions in the bedroom and sitting room. Traditional decor. Good points: Fantastic view of the village and The Dales from our bedroom Double glazing so very quiet... More

My husband and I have just spent a couple of nights in the hotel and enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and a good size (Gunnerside). My only complaints being the bed was rather hard and the floodlight on the front of the building prevented a realty good nights sleep. The food was excellent we enjoyed an evening... More

We came across the Burgoyne by chance having got last minute notice that babysitters were on hand to look after our 14 month old son for the weekend. There was no room at the inn at some of the other hotels we have previously stayed at or heard about and a wider search lead us to the Burgoyne where there... More

Stayed here 1 night whilst walking the 76 miles "Innway Circular" Lovely warm welcome from Sophie who couldn't do enough for us, a spectacular luxurious room with great attention to detail, a marvellous view over Swaledale and a full breakfast of every fruit, yoghurt, cereal imagineable followed by a wide choice of cooked English and continental dishes. Wonderful. The plush... More
