Really nice place with perfect coral just 50 metres from your chalet. The staff is friendly and the food was delicious and fresh (mostly fish, vegetable and fruit). We haven't been diving, but snorkel two times a day and seen many fish species, turtles, eaglerays and variety of coloured coral.

I really like staying at Daniel's homestay and have 4 times, BUT I dont recommend it for families or anyone looking for peace and quiet. The more long term staff are friendly and the food is what you would expect on Bunaken. The beach is cleaned each morning but you have to ask to have your bungalow cleaned. It is... More

I spent four amazing days at Daniel's Homestay and I definitely loved it. The staff is kind, helpful and funny and the bungalows are simple and clean. The atmosphere is relaxed and easygoing, perfect for all the travellers who enjoy to share their journey's tips with other people. An honorable mention to the traditional home cooking Indonesian food: everything I... More

Very unfriendly and unpolite staff. The atmosphere was also bad. People just go there to dive and show off. They did not make us feel comfortable at all so we spent there only two nights. The diving was strange. They do not brief before diving and we doubt our divemaster was certified. The food was OK.

We stayed there 4 nights, every meals was very good and diversified and the accommodation basic, but good for the price. On the other hand the dive center is to avoid, no security equiment on the boat, not enough material for everybody, leaking second stage and mouth piece, a clear careless attitude toward the problems we raise. The guides are... More

Amazing unbroken corals and Nemo's colourful friends are right there outside Daniel's. If you want to snorkel, you don't have to go any further. Just walk directly (or swim when it's high-tide) from your room towards the drop off (which is 200 meters away) and start snorkeling to either side of the sea-footpath. As this is a conservation zone, the... More

it is my second time at the bunaken and like the last time, 2011july, i stayed at daniels resort. i can not understand the bad reviews, because acording to my opinion this is the best price value you can have at the bunaken.the food is always tasty and enough for everybody, they clean the little beach twice a day and... Free WIFI, worldclass diving and-snorkeling, new equipment,24 hours electricity, exellent food, nice renovated bungalows at the beach, quiet, relaxing or lazyness in a hammock,-- what do you want to have more? Prices for this low budged place are great, best value on BunakenIslands. Among a VERY beautifull garden they offer tabel-tennis and french ball game 'petanque' or 'boules'. Chess-players are also wanted. Cozy... More

I enjoyed to take a nap all day in here. it was very quite and thanks to the mangrove in front of beach we also enjoy sleep at night without ocean wave sound. The beach is the most clean over the bunaken. Unfortunately we came in the wrong season so we did not enjoy the diving neither snorkeling. And since... More

The place itself is really quite nice, but they are let down by the divemaster Felix, and the condition of their equipment. I stayed in the cheapest bungalows and they were great. Simple, but the bathroom was redone in mine (no. 8) and the bed was comfortable, with a mosquito net and fan. The staff move to an open air... More
