Second visit to Walea - says quite a lot. This time, we brought some friends, making for a larger group for the wale team to attend to, which they did with ease. Diving remains incredible, and the dive masters attend to many and varied scuba capabilities effortlessly, and most importantly for me, with four children in our group, safely. Coral... More

Just incredible. Every experience was amazing. I really cant say enough about this experience. The resort set up is well thought out and encourages relaxation, while not dominating the natural environment. It is comfortable, without being exposing, and leaves the natural beauty of the environment center stage. You can't help but unwind. Home made Italian food was exceptional (you must try... More

What an amazing experience! Was there for 5 days and the only regret was not being there for the full week. Everyday was met with a stunning view and crystal clear waters. We were a group of 8 mixed with different ages and there was lots to do for each and everyone one of us to enjoy. The snorkeling alone... More

Dive to the pristine coral reef; beautiful creatures: Mandarin fishes from house reef, sleeping baby sharks, many big sea fans (the biggest I ever seen), etc.. Enjoying the delicious Italian food. I really love the fresh-baked bread, the desserts, Profiteroles hmmm "enak sekali".... Sleeping in the well-maintained beachfront cottage. Nice beach. Incredible sunset, accompanied by a cup of cappuccino by... More

Lovely resort, everything well manage - and the food is exceptional; particularly considering the resort is located at very remote island. All the staff very helpfull; and simona is amazing - we were not only enjoy the the delicious food - indo-italy fusion, but the story behind the food as well. Very hot chily mixed perfectly with olive oil. I... More

The resort is a luxury Italian beach resort transported to Indonesia with some rather good diving attached. Most of the guests are Italian (and most of them smoke), the lingua franca is Italian (though sufficient English is spoken), the food is Italian and excellent if you like seafood. The reefs have exceptionally good coral though, with little current, not much... More

What an amazing place! A bungalow right on the beach, with waves splashing on your doorstep, a fantastic restaurant, great staff and of course mother nature at its best with a pristine ocean and untouched coral reefs. Highlight of the stay has been a dugong paying a visit in the afternoon at 5 mt from shore, right in front of... More

My wife and I stayed last october/november for a period of four weeks at Walea Dive Resort. A relatively small, quiet and peaceful Resort, professionaly managed by Sissi, Marco and "Lelle" and their good Staff. The cottages are not so big but well equiped and very clean. In behalf of the nationality of the owners and the management (Italian) the... More

I recently backpacked for a month through Indonesia, a solo American woman aged 30. Just to give you an idea of my mindset when I decided to go to Walea..... I had stayed in a range of accommodation from $10/night hut on the beach to 5 star resorts during a 3 week period on Bali/Lombok. I wanted to whisk myself... More

Okay, this post is a year late and I've been lazy but I thought I would do a write-up in English. I'll start on the journey. It was terribly exhausting! We took a SilkAir flight from Singapore to Manado. We were supposed to take a connecting flight from Manado to Luwuk on Merpati Air. We waited and waited and waited,... More
