Stayed 5 nights ideal as a central base for visiting the D Day beaches and museums. Hotel is a little worn but very clean. No breakfast supplied though this is a 9 euro supplement. Still there's a carrefore 3 mins away. Also didnt find anyone who spoke English as advertosed. As a place just to sleep it's ideal. But Grandcamp-maisy... More

Stayed at this hotel while in France for the anniversary of d-day. we had a family suite which consisted of 2 rooms containing 2 double beds and a single, the rooms were ample in size but quite dated and basic. The hotel also has a car park. we had the continental breakfast once over the 3night stay as we thought it... We popped in Le Duguescilin by accident, as we were driving along the coast and looking for a restaurant for lunch. From outside the place looked a bit dodgy and very quiet, but It was a pleasant surprise! The restaurant was very clean, white table cloths; friendly service, very good food and reasonable prices. We chose fish which was indeed... More

About what you could expect for the price. (We were offered an upgrade on arrival but decided it wasn't worth it.) Our rooms were in the annex at the back and they felt as if they had not been used much over the winter. Not exactly damp but in need of warming up. However it was quite comfortable. Breakfast in... This hotel is great for the price, however, if you do decide to stay here, do not expect any luxury! The rooms are VERY basic and in need of general repair. The beds are not as comfortable as we would have liked and we only had two very small half pillows to share. Our shower pipe was broken and the... More

Very unhelpful staff. The room must have been cleaned around the landing of the allies. The furniture, the carpet and the bathroom are all outdated and dirty. To put it simply it was plain filthy. NEVER AGAIN.

We arrived and where given a lovely room that overlooked the beach. As our room was for six people it was slightly cramped. In our room there where 2 single beds 2 camp-beds and a double bed. We had 4 mini bathrooms one with a toilet and a sink, one with shelves and a sink one with a sink and... More

We had read the reviews here, and knew that the hotel was quite basic. We're happy with our room, we have the sea view we asked for and you can't beat falling asleep listening to the waves lapping at the shore. We arrived on Friday, and decided we'd have our dinner in the restaurant, which has fantastic sea views and... More

I have known this hotel and restaurant for many years. It is family run. They have been in the trade for a long time and know their stuff. The restaurant is part of the hotel operation, and is a local attraction. The sea food is truly excellent. The hotel is simple and clean with few frills. The beauty of the... More
