The hotel is really well placed on the seaside and easy to get there once you have your maps pointed at the smallest port in France (Port Racine). Sometimes when you see such beautiful pictures in a so far away place u kind of doubt it. I am here to write that it is true, all true. The rooms are... More

I was lucky enough to chose this fantastic small hotel for a 2 night stay over my birthday. It's set in a very pretty corner of Normandy with a perfect small harbour (Port Racine) directly bellow the hotel. The owners & staff are very welcoming and helpful. Our room was very comfortable with a window open directly onto the coast,... More

The hotel overlooks Port Racine, the smallest port in France, and also a beautiful bay and pastures. It's unique. The scenery around the hotel is so beautiful it's mesmerizing. I gazed at the view from my room, my breakfast table, and the terrace, where I enjoyed late afternoon drinks (the bar opens at 4pm--it may be open earlier, but I... More

splendid hotel but don't tell anyone! Too good to share. suffice to say that everything was perfect but if we must share anything it would be the breakfast and the sea view. good starting point for coastal path walking and a visit to Jacques prevert's house is a must. ignore joke comments on the gym and the restaurant which don't... What a beautiful place with a marvelous view over the bay. The whole atmosphere is so quiet and relaxing, and Nicolas Chanu makes you very welcome. As well as offering to make restaurant reservations, he even recommended a good restaurant in Versailles. Breakfast is very good - the bread being excellent.

L'Erguillère‎ is a fancy, very good inn rather than a regular hotel. Let's start with (potential) inconveniences. The opening hours of the reception are pretty short, and the hotel itself closes at 8pm (you'll be given a code to access the back door.) There's no minibar nor fridge in the room and the hotel's café closes early – forget about... More

Its not hard to be the best hotel in the area since all the others lag far behind in location, comfort and in service. That said Nicolas Chanu, owner and manager, does anything but rest on his laurels and is constantly and discreetly looking to make guests stay as enjoyable as possible. From making reservations at local restaurants to preparing... More

Such a quiet and peaceful place. When they say at the end of the world, it sure felt like that. The hotel room and bathroom was large and much closer to North American size than European. Breakfast was delicious - everything was very fresh and the french toast was AMAZING! Only drawback was there were only 2 restaurants close by... More

The hotel is wonderfully located on a hill with view over the ocean. The rooms are all very modern and freshly decorated with great attention to detail. Once you open the windows you can hear the sound of the waves - there is no better sound to fall asleep to. Breakfast is really nice and diverse with local specialities served... More

I had a great experience at this wonderful, charming hotel. Located above a little harbour with fantastic views over the ocean, this tasteful decorated hotel offers a great service. The selection of tea is incredible and the hospitality of the owner unbeatable. There are romantic walks along the coastline to great restaurants. The beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is...
