We are on a walking break and found this wonderful place whilst following the Lucitania Trail. Great Chowder and home made cakes and scones served by a very humorous chap. Tea and coffee top ups as needed!!! Great location and would consider staying here in our next visit.

I'm writing on behalf of my mum and her friends, who stayed here during the Storytelling Festival at the close of summer. They are still talking about the wonderful welcome they received from the moment they arrived. (and the calming effect the owners had, during the losing of the car keys panic... thanks guys, that I didn't have to drive... More

I had the great pleasure of staying at the Travara Lodge. The owners Richard and Brandon showed me the most gracious hospitality one could ask for. My room was beautiful with a view of the sea - I woke up every day to this magical scene. The food was excellent and the entire inn was warm, friendly, and loaded with... More

Great overnight stay, breakfast was excellent with great home baking. Would have no problems recommending to anyone wanting a few days away from it all. Met Murphy and Guinness, both lovely dogs. Thanks for the scones to take fishing!

In early July I stayed for one night with friends in Travara Lodge and wished I could have lingered longer. 10 out of 10 for this terrific B & B at the seafront, with great en-suite rooms, sitting room to relax in, and dining room where a four star breakfast is served, all freshly cooked and home baked. The charming... More

I stayed at Travara Lodge with two friends while on a walking tour of the beautiful Seven Heads peninsula in West Cork. The house is a beautiful period home situated by the sea. It has been tastefully and sensitively decorated with all mod cons. The hosts, Brendan and Richard, together with their two dogs, Guinness and Murphy, made us very... More

This week two friends and I walked the 42km of the stunning Seven Heads peninsula, west Cork. Travara Lodge is situated on the waterfront at Courtmacsherry. Owners Brendan and Richard, ably assisted by the wagging tails of Guinness and Murphy welcomed us warmly to their elegant home. There's parking and a tranquil garden. The house itself is tastefully furnished and... More

This is a fantastic place right on the seafront. Great location with great breakfast and nice dining room. A lovely sittingroom with comfy couch and a friendly house dog to make you feel at home. The two owners are great guys who were very accomodating while i went fishing for the day. Highly reccomended!

Stayed at Travara on an Easter bike trip along Cork's southern coast. Courtmcsherry is a beautiful village with fantastic views of the bay and coast. Lots of nautical history. Room 2 at Travara looks out over all this and was amazing value with a great breakfast. Something special for those weary of the sterilised big city hotel.
