Not sure if it is closed the season or permanently closed but the landlady was very short with me when I phoned to try to make a booking. So sadly I was not able to stay there. I found a lovely b&b in Abercraf - just a few miles away which is - the Hub@Abercraf.

My wife and I stayed at this B&B whilst visiting friends nearby and thought it to be excellent and very good value for money. The rooms are large and very clean with walk in wardrobes with plenty of storage space and the beds have very comfortable memory foam mattresses, the bathrooms are also of a good size with a decent... We stayed for one night. Having had a long tiring journey, from which we were very kindly collected from the station by the husband of the landlady, we arrived only to be kept standing in the entrance forever by the landlady going on and on and on about her dog and various stories shooting off from her dog introduction. Polite... More

My wife and I stayed in the Holtwood B&B for 14 nights at the end of June, 2010. Everything was perfect - the bedrooms are spacious, clean and well appointed as are the en-suite facilities. Our bed was extremely comfortable ensuring a good nights sleep every night. The owners, Trish and Geoff keep the whole house spotlessly clean and nothing... More

This place is very nice, comfortable And warm. Unfortunately our stay was ruined by the overbearing landlady. I'm sure she meant well, but I've never been talked at in such a way before. We just wanted a bit of piece after a long day, but felt we had to sneak to our rooms so as not to be accosted on... More

The proprietor is a very friendly lady, and looked after us extremely well. The room was clean and well furnished, with lots of nice little touches. The bed was very comfortable, and plenty of hanging/shelf space. The bathroom had the best towels we have found for a long time, something that wraps round you properly rather than just a postage... The service i received was very good, the room was very comfortable and the welsh cakes were i very nice touch (and tastey). The view from the dinning room window is truely wonderful im not used to hills/mountains coming from Norfolk, lots of choice of eating facilities within the village.

Nice new house. Large rooms and very quiet. Large sitting room for guests, and separate dining room. Flexibility was appreciated. The house stays very warm, so I imagine it is extremely comfortable in winter. The drive is very steep, so be prepared, however it is paver block, so both easy to spot, and probably better traction than concrete. Breakfast was... More
