Roy and Tom are amazingly welcoming, and make a stay here a delight. Stairs are steep, but they will carry your luggage up to the bedroom. The bedrooms are ultra comfy, with quality fittings throughout, including a bone china cup for tea. I love this place

Tremendous welcome by Tom who memorised in an instant the names of eleven of us. Hotel was quaint with steep staircases. Rooms were clean and tidy. The evening meal and breakfast were both superb and served in the most personal way that I have ever experienced. It is sad that this estabishment is now closing as both Tom and Roy... More

Had a meal here on Monday night with my partner, mother and a friend and was very impressed. Felt very intimate and special. A small dining room with superb hosts who were very friendly and chatty and made you feel very welcome. The food was excellent quality and very well cooked. The unique part of the experience was that although... More

We'd stayed at Lloyds occasionally since discovering it on a walking holiday 12 years ago, and made sure we included it on the itinerary of our latest walking holiday this month, not least because we knew that Tom and Roy were winding up the business. This isn't so much a review, therefore, as a thank you for another utterly marvellous... More

This hotel was just perfect in every way for us. The proprietors - Tom and Roy - were caring and attentive hosts, with just the right approach to looking after their guests. This is the standard that all hotels should aspire to! We were just there for an overnight stay and they made us feel so special for such a... More

Tom & Roy made us very welcome in their beautiful small hotel. A friend had stayed there a couple of years ago and highly recommended them. The room we had, overlooking the Minerva crafts centre, was quiet and really comfortable - we slept very well. Excellent shower and everything so nicely designed with a very unique feeling. It was more... More

A group of us, six couples, took over the hotel as we continued our walk around the Glyndwr Way. First of all, Llanidloes was a delightful little town, with 14 pubs, 2 butchers and 2 greengrocers, amazing testimony to the cohesion of such a small place. But Lloyds was amazing. Run by Tom and Roy we had a warm welcome... More

We recently stayed at Lloyds and also had dinner there, this was certainly not our first visit. Lloyds is a real gem. It looks good from the outside, gleaming brass and glossy paintwork but it doesn't really convey the delights within. Tom and Roy are lovely hosts, friendly and welcoming and to add to that Roy's food is amazing. We... More

If you are looking for a unique experience look no further. Warm Welcome as always from Tom and Roy. Food amazing, rooms comfortable. Enjoy great chats with Tom and Roy and other guests in the comfortable sitting room whilst sipping your pre dinner drinks. Menu explained to the diners in great detail and with fun. Thank you both and Matt... More
