We normally stay in mainstream hotels but needed to be in Llanidloes for the sniper experience. Our room was very nice. Clean, fresh and very pleasant aesthetically. The owners couldn't help enough and the food was fantastic. The lamb is probably the best you'll have the steak was top notch. Only criticism is bed could be a little bigger and... More

A family run hotel in the middle of Llanidloes. Warm, comfortable, very clean hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast was good-would have been better if porridge and kippers were on offer. As there was a function on at the hotel we could not have dinner but ate up the road at The Angel which was good. I shared with a friend and we... More

Glynn & Hayley made us feel very welcome. Very smart, clean facilities throughout. Good variety on menu & good sized portions. Not expensive. Highly commend the 'Unicorn Potatoes' - secret recipe! We would certainly recommend them & wouldn't hesitate to go back again. Sue & Viv from Reading.

A quick stop on way to a university open day. Impressed with everything from start to finish. Our room was immaculate and spotlessly clean, the hosts were very friendly and the food was delicious, especially the breakfast. Would definitely recommend this place and stay again.

Yet again we had a lovely meal at the unicorn in Llanidloes. We were celebrating my daughters boyfriends birthday. This time we took our three foster children (2 and under). The food was served very quickly which was perfect when you have little ones. We did feel uncomfortable when the babies started to make a little noise but Glyn was... More

Arrived to a friendly greeting. Check in quick, soon shown to the room. Very spacious room, toiletries good quality and plentiful Drinks again varied and plentiful. Room very clean, linen towels nice decor relaxing. Bed for me not comfortable, memory foam, but it may be fine for others. No evening meal available, needed to be off on my travels before... More

The room was very clean, large room and en-suite, friendly owners, and good location. Parking though was on the street. On arrival despite giving an arrival time there was no answer for quite a while leaving us outside knocking on the door. The restaurant has a separate entrance next door and although closed I could see the chef in the... More
