Spotlessly clean, spacious, ample parking, hearty breakfast served in the dining room/bar, free internet and the view to die for. Our room had two balconies both facing the monasteries.

The guesthouse is the nearest to the stones. We booked a room with a view of the Meteora and it had a lovely big balcony and wonderful views.

The Guesthouse Papastathis location is great if you are going to visit Meteora. It is located just at the beginning of Meteora´s sights and monasteries. It is a 7 minutes walk to Saint Nikolas Anapafsas monastery, 20minutes walk to Varlaam monastery if you take the old monks´ pathway.
The guesthouse is at Kastraki which is the city next to Kalampaka....

First, stay in or near Kastraki - it has so much more charm, scenery and ambiance than generic Kalambaka (but drive to Kalambaka so you can eat at Taverna to Paramithi - it's on the left hand side of the main road going from Kastraki to Kalambaka). I've been 5 weeks travelling in Greece and sadly I only assigned 2 nights to stay in Meteora. We stayed for two nights at this guest house and were very pleased with our room (comfortable beds, nice balcony), nice breakfast and welcoming hosts. The room has comfortable beds, nice balcony and a spotless (but small) bathroom. Town center is 10 minutes walk for the guest house.

We booked 3 nights at Papastathis. It was so enjoyable we stayed longer. The guesthouse is a 10 min. walk on the road above Kastraki town and 5 min. walk below the St. Nicholas Anapausas monastery.
