Fantastic old buildings, lovely spacious rooms, splendid pool, fine dining. We stayed for a few days and loved this place. So romantic with character and an exclusive feel to it. Ideal place to explore the fabulous coast. Go for a walk along the magnificent Playa de Berria beach. We actually stayed in September 2014 but I only just got round... More

If a hotel is judged by a good night sleep, then we had a poor experience at this hotel. Sorry our experience of this hotel varies from most of the other reviews here. On arrival we were buzzed through the gates, but then found no one at reception. A lady then popped round the door to say she would be... More

This hotel looked after us so well we decided to stay another night! The location is majestic and is set deep in the countryside. The breakfast service was exceptional - they even cooked up something extra as we are vegetarian. A true home from home. Thanks guys.

My only regret is not eating a full meal in the gourmet restaurant. We stayed for 3nights in July in a large double room with en suite. No air con but a very pretty room with a balcony and a terrace for all day sun. The double bed wasn't huge and it wasn't the most comfortable either but otherwise no... More

We stayed in Escalante for 2 nights in order to take advantage of the proximity to beaches and for connivence to the Santander ferry. This was a charming hotel with very helpful staff who really looked after us during our stay. We had beach towels laundered super quick and our room was large with comfortable beds and a large bathroom.... More

We picked this hotel because of the reviews I read on Trip Advisor and were not disappointed. The rooms were beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful. There was someone available 24/7 in the library to offer any assistance needed.

Stayed here last week and its was beautiful. Rooms and furnishing gorgeous. Breakfast included fruit, yogurt, cakes and pastries, cheese and meats, eggs and bacon , freshly squeezed juices and more. We ate at the restaurant 3 times ... Again great. Pool area very clean. Want to go back to this place. Also great beaches in ten minute car ride... More

Amazing property for a holiday, newly renovated extra spacious rooms with huge comfy beds and beautiful design. Friendly and super helpful staff. Both breakfasts and dinners were unbelievebly good - mu husband still dreams about them, I think ;). Quick drive to lovely beaches of Santona. Our stay was so wonderful that we decided to stay extra night and really... More
