This hotel has managed to escape the clutches of the major guide books but has found its way onto Trip Advisor and it was a great find. It is a small converted palace hence the name; but not sure what it has to do with Abba; We gather "abba" is prefix for a hotel chain and not a reference to...

A beautiful 5* hotel in a rural setting! The hotel is located on the outskirts, the lobby has a wonderful luxurious feel in a country setting. The lobby´s decor is unexpected with bright, loud colours and comfy chairs. The stairwell, running through the centre, leads to an amazing domed ceiling. I loved it ... the reception staff were friendly and...

Attended a seminar here and everything was fantastic except there was limited wifi, but that could be overlooked due to the beautiful rooms and surrounding area. Easy walking distance to a very nice and friendly village. Just a great place to be.
We spent six nights in this luxury, 18th Century beautifully restored palace as part of a VaughanTown English language program. What a treat: huge room overlooking the village, every luxury one could desire, free WiFi, gourmet restaurant, friendly and helpful staff.
We stayed two nights at the Palicio and really enjoyed the experience.

French doors to our balcony from both the room and bathroom. The staff were superb(even friendly).Excellent location for Santander and we only paid £50 inc Breakfast.
If you love a beautiful historic Hotel this is the palce to be. nearby (35 min. from Santander) in a quiet little valley. Friendly staff. Hotel is over restored, but still is full of charm. We had a dinner reservation in the hotel, but experienced one of the worst dinners in time. All meals were pre fabricated and probably warmed...

It is a 1719 building, renewed with new style but mantaining some classic furnitures. Each floor is painted in a different colour (1st, red, 2nd green, 3d blue) and some rooms have balcony (ours -106- had...
