This was our third Parador during our hoilday. The food at dinner and breakfast was really good for us. The room was excellent. The problem I had was the service. The first evening we were booked for their first sitting which is 8.30 p.m. In the restaurant. At this Parador there were more children staying and I really felt sorry... More

It feels like you're at the end of the world, surrounded by these amazing mountains. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are spacious with huge beds and balcony with breathtaking views. We loved the breakfast, kept going for more.

Hotel exceeded our expectations. The price for such an accommodation is really fantastic and more than affordable. Rooms are huge, tasteful with worm look and feel, big balconies. Lot of wood furniture in rooms and corridors gives mountain cabin feel. Excellent breakfast. We had a great time and rest in this hotel. We didn't have lunch or dinner there as... More

Stayed for one night only earlier this month. The hotel location is fantastic for the Cable Car and accommodation is very good. The scenery is simply stunning. My rating is based on the restaurant which I would advise against eating in, the food was below average and the service poor. A bottle of Rioja reserve was simply poured into two... More

I was in the hotel for 3 nights during a hiking vacation in Picos de Europa. The staff was friendly and the rooms were large. The location is literally right next to the cable lift, but there are no affordable restaurants at walking distance. Negative aspects: cold atmosphere (generated by many would-be upper-class guests), no airco, expensive diner at imposed... More

Stayed at the start and end of a hut to hut trip in the Picos. Amazing to find such a well appointed and large Parador in a location that's really just about the cable car but it works well. A hotel of high Parador standard - though a bit bland outside, the staff rooms and food were great. Would make... More

Fantastic location. Large rooms with good balconies. The service in the cafeteria is poor. In the afternoon, one poor guy was literally running between restaurant and cafeteria. It was clear he had too much to do. After dinner, it was very difficult to get served in the bar. At breakfast we were ignored and had to seek out staff to... More

High in the Picos, at the base of the cable car to the high areas for walkers etc. comfortable, good room with balcony and view of mountains. The aircon didn't work well but the weather was such that we could sleep with the windows open and hear the bells from the mountain sheep. Easy car parking. Staff helpful if a... More

Beautiful location opposite cable car station with fantastic views up towards the Picos mountains. The rooms are huge and luxurious with large bathrooms. The restaurant can get busy but the food is great and there is an option to eat in the bar area if you want something more informal. There are several large sitting/reading/relaxing areas around the hotel and... More

This was perhaps my seventh visit in the Parador chain. Parador de Fuente De is not the most luxurious hotel compared with the other Paradors. However, it's very attractive, rooms are big enough, bathrooms are functional and large and the overall impression is very good as it is in every Parador. The value for money is excellent, I recommend to... More
