We went to the Dinner Theatre at Annesbrook earlier in the summer and plan to go again soon - I've heard they are putting on another show. Absolutely loved it! This is a fun place to stay. Convenient to Newgrange, Knowth, Hill of Tara, and all the sites of the Boyne Valley. As a travel agent I'm always looking for something extra from travel experiences. Annesbrook delivered. Yes it is a little lacking in glossy paint but it more than makes up for it with old world charm and individuality. We were looking foward to seeing this place as the pictures seemed to indicate some grande estate. And yes, it was once a great estate complete with entrance portal and long driveway. We wanted a unique B&B close to Newgrange, and we won't soon forget our experience here. I felt like a character in a Daphne DuMaurier novel. This is an interesting old house where the walls are covered in original art and you will eat in aging splendour with a view of the gardens. We discovered the place by accident and it really is quite hidden away but worth the search. The owner tends beautiful climbing roses and grow organic vegetables in the 19th century walled garden....
