I was staying near by with a friend dog sitting for the week. Mary the owner invited us down for one of the best paellas I've ever tasted. Very friendly and genuine people. Thanks Mary and John. Rob from Brighton

La Ladera is one of the best places I stayed at during my long stay in Spain. Mary who owns and runs the place has the warmest personality and makes you feel at home from the moment you walk in. The place has a great swimming pool and excellent rooms. It's also easy to find as it is located right... More

It was great to be there! Mary is very friendly and welcoming. We drank a tasty wine and delicious food for suitable price. The sun is there from early morning to late evening....We really enjoyed our stay there:-)

Mary is like a breath of fresh air and both her and John make you feel at home as soon as u walk in. We were staying in Yegan just up the road but came over to Casa La Ladera about 4 times as we felt so welcome. We came in the day to swim and relax with a coffee... More

Casa La Ladera has friendly and welcoming hosts (John and Mary Hollamby), wonderful home cooked food, comfortable and well-appointed accommodation, a well-stocked bar, a large swimming pool and terrific views. Well worth a stay if you are visiting the eastern Alpujarras. On the main road between Yegen and Valor, it is easily accessible and there is plentiful parking. English and... More

In travelling to many parts of Spain over the years , I don't think that I have come across such a delightful location as that of Casa La Ladera. Set on the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada and overlooking the eastern end of Las Alpjarras, the views from the balconies are breathtaking. Mary and John Hollanby run the hotel... More

This is a truly wonderful place to stay and visit the Alpujarras. The location is superb, with plenty of tranquility and yet within walking distance of the enjoyable villages of Valor and Yeben. The hotel is very cozy, the room very nicely furnished and comfortable, with fantastic views from the balcon. Mary and John are cheerful hosts, that will do... More

We stumbled upon Casa La Ladera on one of the area's few cold and rainy days this year, having walked with our six-year-old daughter from Valor, via Cuesta Vinas to Yegen...we were on our way back. The welcome sounds of people inside a welcoming-looking casa were music to our ears. We were ushered inside, where our daughter was made welcome... More
