We spent six nights at Hotel Borik last week and it was a really nice experience. Although the city itself is a bit more quiet at night than we expected, we had a great time at Lumbarda, you have plenty to do, if you want to. Regarding the hotel - very nice terrace, the building is beautiful, good drinks offer... More

I spent one-week holiday together with my husband in July 2013. The hotel is lovely situated, in the centre of Lumbarda, few steps from beach, cafes & restaurants. Beatiful sea view, nice terrace and relaxing pool. Nice old main building but inside a bit disappointing. Very basic room so as the bathroom. Food was good but not exceptional, could be... More

Having just returned from a touring holiday in Croatia, I thought I'd see what reviews had been posted on a hotel that we just stumbled across. We asked if they had availability... They did a pleasantly gave us the key to room 11, to take a look. It was a large modern room with a view over the pool and... More

Stayed for 3 nights in August, had a room on 3rd floor with a sea veiw, slightly interruptef by a roof. The rooms were pretty basic. but the terrace in front of the hotel was great, nice and relaxing, lovely local wine and the staff were helpful. The pool only had a few loungers which suffered from the usual problems... More

We had booked 7 nights from a different apartment pension. Unfortunately booking.com had made a double booking, so after the first night we had to move to Hotel Borik. Representative from booking.com praised this hotel to be better quality than our first apartment but he was quite wrong. First seeing the hotel everything seems promising: nice pool and front of... We booked this hotel for four nights and left as soon as we could arrange travel out of there. It is a glorified hostel and a dirty, smelly, unfriendly one at that. The rooms are run down, smell of stale urine, shower falling apart. The manager is unfriendly/ aggressive manner. The breakfast was absolutely disgusting - warm sweetened yoghurt, orange... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and to our surprise there was no air conditioning in the hotel rooms and it was 40 degrees. Further to add when we asked for have a room with air conditioning the hotel manager then asked us why we needed to have air conditioning!! The staff were really unfriendly and the hotel... More

I wouldn't recommend staying here. Our room had peeling paint, stained bathroom with falling shower curtain, dated furniture and linens, balcony door that did not really lock properly. Charmless and expensive at 100 euro. Wifi does not go to rooms, many many stairs to climb and dark cluttered hallways to pass through. Disappointing, although the staff was pleasant.

Room clean and comfortable, bed very soft, location great, balcony view very very nice. Reception staff not so polite or attentive but that never makes an issue for me. No minibar and missing toiletries. Price was 92 E per night. Overall recommendable, just little bit over priced.

Stayed here with my wife on the "Backroads tour of Croatia".This three star hotel has a fabulous view from front rooms. Our room was on the second floor at the front with 86 steps from the lobby, no lift. Staff were great in transporting luggage. It was small, clean room, with two single beds made up as a queen size,... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Borik is located in the heart of the little village of Lumbarda, only a few steps from the main street and with a view on the marina Lumbarda and the Peljesac peninsula. The hotel’s beautiful building is the former stone summer palace of the Mirosevic family, today with about twenty renovated rooms with air conditioning. The annexe Borik is located behind the hotel and has further 60 renovated rooms with a balcony. If you wish to savour top culinary specialties, you only have to come down towards the pleasant shade of the a la carte restaurant or pizzeria, and in those rare moments of rain you can enjoy your meal in the roofed part of the restaurant. We are particularly proud of our vast lounge bar, where you may freshen yourself with cold drinks sitting on comfortable reed armchairs. Hotel Borik has made available to its guests direct phone lines, SAT TV, wifi in common areas, internet café, exchange bureau and bicycle rent service. You can reach the beautiful beaches by foot. The pebbly beach Tatinje is only 200 m away from the hotel, but if you prefer rocky beaches, we recommend you Bilin zal. The path to the sandy beach Przine will lead you through vineyards and olive groves and you will find the sea in that cove warmer than around the rest of the island. It would be a pity not to visit some of the fabulous sites near Lumbarda, which is the reason why the hotel offers excursions around Korcula, to Mljet, the most densely wooded island in Croatia and the worldwide famous pearl of the Croatian tourism, the town of Dubrovnik. ... more   less
