stayed here on my own 1 night for buisness purpose, room was fair sized and had everything you need with digital TV and a comfy bed, bathroom with toilet, sink and a shower. The only niggle i had with this hotel is it needs better windows to keep the noise out as there was some noisy foreign guests at 4:50am... More

Visited on the 26th April with 2 friends and 2 kids. When we arrived we actually thought the hosts were guests as they were sitting on the sofa and just sort of looked at us as though we had wandered in by mistake. We were shown through to the restaurant and had it to ourselves. We put this down to... More

My son and his partner had treated us to Sunday lunch here. A carvery with the most amazing amount of meat, asked for a little of each roast (beef, gammon.turkey and pork) sooo much meat: veg was what you wanted - broccoli cauliflower, cabbage, roast parsnips, new potatoes roast potatoes and not forgetting the huge Yorkshire pudding and stuffing .... The hotel is in a nice remote location with good access via the m11 to east London and just outside Cambridge. The hotel is built from local flint and surrounded by countryside and small villages built with traditional thatch roofs. The rooms are independent buildings from from main building and newly renovated. Friendly aatmosphere, flexible breakfast times, good value and... More

Phoned up around 14:40hrs today to see if Sunday Carvery was available, we were able to go straight away, was taken to our table by a very friendly young man. Carvery was very nice, and plenty of it, the meat servings were very generous, pudding even nicer. Would definitely revisit, maybe go earlier than we did, to ensure lunch was... More

First problem was that the signs for Reception were not at all clear....turns out the Reception was the bar. Got to the bar to find it was stoud out full... More

Firstly I would like to say that all our reviews are by genuine satisfied customer. They have reviewed our hotel as it is and have not exaggerated the truth. Our hotel reception is within our main bar as it's most convenient for the guests on arrival and it is clearly sign posted from the car park for people to see.... More

The rooms were nicely decorated, clean, with tea and coffee etc. There was wifi, TV, and ensuite. However, the buildings were a bit dated as I could hear the thud of the people upstairs everytime they walked anywhere and there was no external shutting door into the courtyard, so the security of the rooms troubled me as there was only... My wife and I were due to go down in August for a charity football match against Royston, unfortunately it got cancelled at short notice (the Wednesday before we were due down on the Friday. we informed the hotel as soon as we knew (on that Wednesday) and explained the circumstances. They seemed reasonable but made no mention of a... More

we had stayed here previosly with a groupon offer when going to duxford museum , in the family room with our son which was amazingly comfortable and roomy. We enjoyed the hospitallity and friendliness from Dave and Michelle so much that we returned for a 2nd visit to another flight museum a little further away. Once again we were met... More
