We have stayed here before in 2010, which was ok, but under a different management, who were not very friendly, however, we booked again for this year as it is under new management, it's made a BIG difference to the place, although they have only been there a year, they are making it a lovely place to stay, it takes... When we arrived no staff were in apart from cleaner who was very helpful and sorted out a room for us. There were 3 of us and first we were shown to a double with a portable bed, and then we were eventually taken to a room that had a double and single bed. We were in the roof space... More

Just spent the last weekend in this accommodation and all I can say is that it was dreadful. Where do I begin? We arrived to our hotel and couldn't have been happier, we were going to a wedding of a close friend and this hotel was within great commuting distance of the venue. The outside of the hotel was very... More

I'm very sorry that you didn't enjoy your stay here. We take pride in making sure that everyone enjoys there stay. My father did ask kindly if you minded leaving slightly earlier- unfortunately not realising that you were the best man. How ever we did not persue you leaving the room early once we realised this. I would like to... More

Where do I start with this hotel... The room- the bedding was clean but the carpet and other areas were not. It was quite dated but the bed was relatively comfortable. A friend who was also staying noted that the electrical items in the rooms were more than 2 years overdue for mandatory testing. Although the noise of the road... More

I would just like to clarify that I did give an apology for the toast. It was a fresh loaf, and as one slice had been eaten and the rest of the loaf checked it was just an odd slice that some how was mouldy. The case of the shower curtain, is that we were going around and putting brand... More

Stayed here for a night few days ago. The service has been great from the moment we stepped in the hotel. The owner of the hotel was happy to assist us for anything we needed. The room was very clean and cosy. The bathroom had an adequate size and the shower was superb. The hotel is located on a remote... More

Having bought a deal through Groupon and having experienced a great meal with excellent service. we went back 3 weeks later and the visit was simply repeated The food on both occasions was prepared and cooked and was piping hot. The service was friendly and the staff were all very welcoming. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who wanted... More

Me and my wife stayed here for a night in march. We used a voucher from groupon which was very reasonably priced. Because of this we were unsure of what to expect. Owner was incredibly friendly, food was brilliant (especially the breakfast) and the visit on the whole was great. The bar and dining area was very neat tidy with... More

Used a groupon voucher. On main road,Easy to find.We travelled about 20mins to try.Menu for Groupon customers is pies,Chilli,Chicken etc.Good service from host,Very clean & looks refurbished.Wife had homemade steak pie with fresh veg.I had Chilli with homemade chips.Perhaps a roll/bread added would be nice touch as gravy was excellent.Plenty on plate & hot. Both very nice.Rhubarb & Custard for dessert.Lovely.Well done.

Had a lovely weekend break there this weekend. From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble. Agree the rooms are small, but you are only sleeping in them, there is a huge courtyard with a relaxing fountain to sit in or the spacious and airy bar/lounge. The food was excellent - good traditional home made fare, piping hot,... More
