Stayed for two nights with our two children in two interconnecting suites. Rooms were very spacious and nicely decorated. The service levels were a bit variable with service slow at times. However the food was wonderful and the staff were always helpful and friendly. The prices are high though and given lack of facilities I would recommend Chewton Glen as... More

I could not in all honesty recommend this hotel. It is not a 5 star hotel - perhaps by location but not by service or facilities. Rooms have no room safe, mini-bar or tea/coffee making facilities . We were advised at check-in that the hotel would happily serve tea or coffee anywhere in the hotel but ONLY until 10.30am! This... More

Absolutely lovely if you're trying to capture the essence of the Cotswolds. You can cross the street to a tiny village (for a quick walk) or go into another inn of equal quality just across the very quiet street. Rooms are fabulous, baths updated and huge, dining outdoors appears just FAKE it's so tranquil. Food was delicious and plentiful. When... More

It is, by any standards, a lovely hotel in a quite exquisite setting. We stayed in Nina, a large suite over looking the front gardens. The village is picture perfect and after normal tourist hours is almost deserted, except by the residents, which makes it extremely quiet, and I say this in a good way. Stroll along the river prior... More

We went to the Cotswolds for our anniversary weekend this year and decided to stay at the Lower Slaugther Inn which was great, but for our annivearsary meal we went across the road to the Lower Slaughter Manor Hotel (2 minute walk). We decided to go for the 8 course taster menu with the accompanying wine flight. The whole experience... More

We stayed at the Lower Slaughter Manor house for 2 nights over Easter and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The building, grounds and suite we stayed in were beautiful. On arrival our room was upgraded to a gorgeous suite which availed us stunning views over the grounds. We decided to eat at the manor's restaurant both nights which was a culinary... More

From the moment we walked in the receptionist was very helpful we had afternoon tea which was real tea not tea bags it was very nice. We had the taster meal in the evening was superb meal all staff were... More

We have stayed at the Lower Slaughter Manor a number of times, including our first weekend away together 5 years ago. It is a lovely, welcoming hotel, which despite some of the grandeur feels homely (see the walking boots lined up by the front door for guests to borrow, and brandy in the room to have a nightcap). Yes there... More

We booked Sunday lunch here as it was a half way meeting point for friends. If you like a traditional lunch, then maybe this is not the place. We ordered a bottle of wine while we were looking at the menu and the waiter seemed to think his role in life was to top up our glasses after each sip... More

We stayed on a Monday night on a secret escapes deal. On that basis the value was excellent, I would not have wanted to pay the full asking price. As we drove in we were greeted by David(?) who took control of the bags from the boot of the car, and was throughout our stay present and helpful with everything... More

Dear tal27, Thank you for taking your time to review your recent stay at the Manor and we are delighted that on the whole you enjoyed your break with us.
