We stayed at The Slaughters Country Inn for three nights and it was a real treat. Our room was lovely, the staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and the food was excellent. We had booked a deluxe double room and were placed in "Walpole", which was actually a first floor two bedroom suite. We didn't need the extra... More

If your looking for a secluded small hotel in the cotswolds id recommend this place. If its nice weather you can walk into bourton-on-the-water, if its raining you can sit in the bar with the fire on and enjoy an excellent local ale.

We came across this lovely hotel on a recent visit to the area and had to arrange a stay as it looked absolutely idyllic. We were not at all disappointed. Everything we expect from a 5 star hotel (5 AA Stars) was here in spades. I have a few niggles, of which more later, but nothing that would prevent a... More

We loved the Slaughters Country Inn! My wife and I stopped in for a drink while out for a walk from Bourton on the Water, we sat on the beautiful patio by the river on a lovely sunny day, it was great. We also went for dinner the following evening, the food was excellent, the staff very attentive, and the... More

It is very rare these days to experience staff that genuinely couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome, that are super friendly, courteous, ultra efficient and seem to be very happy and enjoying their work. They seem to really care about their customers. The room was lovely - full of character, amazingly comfortable bed and a feature bath. The... More

I booked 4 rooms for a family celebration to mark my fathers 80th birthday (and as it turned out, my brothers engagement!), as we were also visiting the Fairford air display the next day. We couldn't have asked for a better location, so beautiful and peaceful that even my 20 year old son appreciated and commented on it. We had... More

My partner and l choose this inn for a mini break, what a delightful place to stay, so relaxing. Staff courteous, couldn't do enough for us. We stayed two nights had our evening meal in the restaurant, couldn't fault it. Breakfast was good and plentiful, cooked to order. All round excellent choice. Can't wait to go back.

We stayed one night in this hotel in June 2014 and wished we had stayed longer. The hotel is located in an old building in the heart of a very charming little village. The room was spacious, clean, modern, and had a huge bathroom with large free standing soaker tub. The staff was very friendly and breakfast was located in... More

Lower Slaughter Inn. This is the most pleasant and delightful hotel to just relax, wind down and let all your cares disappear. All the staff are wonderful, so friendly at all times. Never without a smile and a greeting. The hotel has a number of public rooms off the bar, where you can go for a chat or just to... More

The Inn was beautifully presented and located. The garden leading to the river provides the perfect setting for a gin and tonic or a quiet afternoon. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, the wine list could be improved. The only glitch was at check in, where my friend and I, walking through the Cotswolds, requested on booking a twin share room,...
