If you like the scenery of the Cotswolds you will love the location of this hotel. It is straight off of a picture postcard. As a result it's very relaxing if the weather is good enough to go for walks (not a rambler so I have limits!). We ate there both nights as it was supposed to be a relaxing... More

Dear Mark G, please may I ask that you contact me directly at the Inn, we do take all dietary requirements very seriously, and I would like to find out a little more on how our systems and procedures seam have failed on this occasion Best Regards Stuart Hodges General Manager 01541 822143 More

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The village is beautiful and the hotel is perfectly placed to enjoy the Cotswolds. Our cottage was really comfortable, exceptionally clean and very spacious. The staff are excellent and very helpful. The breakfast was cooked to perfection and the restaurant staff attended our every need. The... More

Booked this via Secret Escapes as a surprise trip for my partner's birthday to the Cotswolds. Lovely hotel. Staff were friendly and available throughout. Food was superb - we went for the Wed night fish and chip supper, which was very good. And all the food looked good. Cooked breakfast was of a good quality The restaurant was quite empty... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights and had a wonderful stay. The hotel staff are all very nice and friendly. We had a superior room which was beautiful and spacious. The bathroom was fabulous. The setting is so beautiful and romantic and we spent the day walking round Lower Slaughter on to Upper Slaughter and then to... More

My partner & I booked the Inn through 'Secret Escapes'. We spent a lovely evening on Sunday. Sunday was a really miserable day with the weather, heavy rain & strong winds, but we arrived to a heartwarming welcome from a young French gentleman on Reception who personally escorted us to our Superior room. This was very well appointed with a... More

Had lunch today in the bar. I have to say that undoubtedly the mussels were the best I have tasted for a very long time, perfectly steamed, plump and juicy and with a beautiful sauce, The bread rolls were super fresh and full of flavour, the Thermidor fish pie was a winner, and as one who is not partial to... Stayed here for a birthday weekend. Warm quiet cosy room, nicely decorated and appreciated the plentiful supply of coffee and tea. Bed very comfortable too. Five stars so far. Breakfast on both days was excellent, with a nicely cooked food and excellent service. We also ate here on both nights, once in the bar and once in the restaurant. We... More

Dear Charlie 11111, I am pleased you enjoyed our fabulous location, your room and breakfast. I am disappointed that your dinner experience was not all that it should have been, for this except by apologizes. I am happy that we were able to accommodate you running late for breakfast and allow you a little later check out time. We are... More

Had a work related excuse to stay here after being recommended by friends. Booked short notice and go the last dog friendly room. Was worried dog friendly meant 'doggy' but there were no signs of previous canine visitors in our lovely room. A huge room with huge bed (although 2 beds pushed together), entrance hall, fantastic bathroom and a little... More

Positioned in one of the most beautiful English villages, this traditional country inn has been been carefully and elegantly refurbished. From the reception to the bar and dining room, thought, care and an eye for detail has been employed to great effect. All the bedrooms are elegant, lovely superior rooms in hotel, and split level cottage rooms in seperate block.... More

We had always fancied staying at this hotel having stopped there for a drink a few years ago and when we found a good priced offer decided to go for it. The situation is fantastic being in one of the prettiest villages in The Cotswolds, and there is ample car parking space and just in case, the guest guide in... More
