Had one night staying at The Slaughter Inn. The room was lovely, clean and with nice sized towels. The criticism would only be with the food. I had a fish cake but it was mostly potatoe!! Absolutely stunning views.

The Slaughters Country Inn was the highlight of our UK accommodations (we were in the UK for two weeks and stayed here two nights). The room was huge (three rooms actually -- a bedroom, bathroom, and a little study) and very nicely decorated. Everything was clean and the bathroom was huge. We had dinner at Eton's one night and at... More

I don't believe anything can be perfect but, as a country hotel, this is as close as it gets. This was our second stay and the room was delightful, in fact it would be described as a 'suite' by many hotels. The location and garden are very relaxing and peaceful but only a short walk (or very short drive) from... More

This lovely Inn is located in picture perfect Lower Slaughter. It use to be in turns, a country house, then a cramming school for Eton before its current incarnation as an Inn. As value goes, it is a very good find compared with other properties in that area. We stayed in the standard double, an attic room with a sloping... More

The Slaughters Country Inn is located in a beautiful village and has excellent pub food. Service and quality of food in the pub is generally good and breakfast was well laid out. The only disappointment with the food and beverage is that the coffee at breakfast was insipid and uninspiring. However the accommodation is average and not good value for... More

The Slaughters country Inn was a real find. As with many historic buildings in England, this property has had a number of reincarnations from a country house to Lodgings and then to a "cramming school" for Eton , prior to it's current life as an Inn/hotel in its own grounds , in the quaint village of lower Slaughter. The conversion... More

We were on our way home after a weekend staying in Oxford and had heard what a pretty village Lower Slaughter was so decided to pass that way. We stopped at the Slaughters Country Inn for Sunday lunch which was delicious, the roast beef melted in your mouth and the vegetables cooked beautifully. Staff very friendly and helpful would definitely... More

This hotel is excellent and good value for money in comparison to many of the others in the area. I went with my mother and we had a wonderful break staying for 4 nights. The room was spacious but occasionally noisy, this was due to the people above us, we could hear them walking across their room through the ceiling!... More

We stayed here as part of our walking holiday with Cotswold Walks. It was a wonderful surprise to discover we had been booked here. Our room(s) was huge and comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful though the restaurant staff at dinner were not particularly friendly.
