We had a lovely time at the hotel, the food was good, the location was fairly good for exploring the Cotswolds as well. The staff were very helpful as well and the location and property were lovely. The rooms were nicely appointed and very comfortable.

Excellent location, beautiful village and excellent base for Cotswolds touring. Rooms are very well appointed and very clean as you might well expect and the breakfasts are excellent. The however is 1. that our room - Villers - was very warm (being above the kitchen was the explanation) and on still nights an open window doesn't help 2. the wifi... More

The atmosphere and service are luxurious in this restaurant at a 5 star hotel in Lower Slaughter, next to the river. We had an heirloom tomato, pesto, and orzo chilled soup that was unique and delicious as a starter. We followed that with flatiron steaks, mine with Bernaise sauce and my husband with a peppercorn sauce. The steaks were tender... More

The rooms in the Slaughters Country Inn are surprisingly spacious and well maintained. We stayed for a night at this location during our tour of the Cotswolds and it was by far the largest room that we were given in the area. The wifi was a little bit spotty from our room. The bathroom was equipped with both a tub... More

Lower Slaughter is a lovely little village; much more tranquil with less traffic than some of the other villages in the area. The Slaughters Country Inn was a delight and a great base for exploring the Cotswolds. It was a real pleasure coming back to the Inn to enjoy a drink and dinner on the terrace after a busy day... I booked a 1 night stay for my husbands birthday. I had mentioned the birthday and we were offered a free upgrade to a lovely superior room with a roll top bath and views across the gardens. The gardens and surroundings were beautiful. The food and service throughout our stay was excellent. We look forward to returning!

We have just arrived home from a trip to the Cotswolds, we decided to book a night at The Slaughters Country Inn, on arrival it was very impressive with nice lawn, garden and beautiful countryside. We were shown to our room which was away from the main hotel into a purpose built accomadation block. Inside was huge with a very... More

Thank you for your review, I am sorry about the error made with your wife’s order, but also pleased that you felt the situation was dealt with well. We believe that quality is better than quantity for our breakfast offering, and do not believe that we ever send a guest away hungry Best Regards Stuart More

While we didn't stay here we visited the Inn for a drink. We stayed in Bourton-on-the-Water and enjoyed a short half an hour walk from our holiday cottage to Lower Slaughters. I would recommend anyone staying in Bourton-on-the-Water, to make this short walk through the countryside to The Slaughters Country Inn. Its a beautiful Inn, excellent service, well maintained and... We decided to visit the Cotswolds this year as an escape from our busy lives, and chose to stay at the Slaughters Country Inn. The village is so pretty, and the hotel was a wonderful choice. It was so good to be staying in a place where the only noise was the sound of the birds singing. We opted for... More

We stayed here the night before our daughters wedding there were 6 rooms booked and when we arrived they had upgraded us all because we were a wedding party. They also allowed the dog to stay as she was taking part in the wedding the next day so they are animal friendly. The grounds are amazing and as the weather... More
