Have just stayed at the slaughter house and can only say it was average and over priced, although the staff were very nice we didn't even get told what time breakfast was, when we booked our evening meal we were told that they were fully booked at 6.30pm so took the 6.45pm slot thinking it would be a busy night only... Lets not beat about the bush - this is a quality hotel offering superb service and was a delightful place to stay. The room (Penn Room) is one of the Classic (basic) rooms available and is situated on the top floor with views across the gardens. The room was excellent - clean, well presented and the bed was comfortable. We... More

The location is beautiful, the room was spacious and clean, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The dinner, wine and breakfast were fine and good value. We only stayed one night but we were both impressed with all the facilities and service. Overall a wee gem and we will be back.

We had lunch here on a Saturday of the Bank Holiday weekend. The service was excellent, all staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food was lovely and plentiful. It was not overpriced considering the locality. The grounds were also lovely.

A couple of days ago, my wife and I stopped for a little Lunch at the Inn and although the weather wasn't congenial to make use of their lovely Terrace; we were quite lucky to secure a table inside. We shared an excellent "Platter" comprising of: carved cold ham, smoked salmon, pork pie, prosciutto, cheddar cheese, french fries, salad leaves,... More

Lovely hotel in great setting. We stayed here in April and thought it would be a great place to take our visiting Australian relatives in August. The dining room is spacious and light and the food is wonderful One small comment, the cheese board was poor. Four slivers of cheese was disappointing for the price. The chocolate mousse is to... We stayed here at The Slaughters Inn, just the two of us to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We wanted somewhere quiet and relaxing - and The Slaughters Country Inn definitely ticked the boxes!! Our room was a very generous size, and the ensuite was also very big - with a separate bath and shower, which is very helpful when you're... More

We stayed for 3 days with our Labrador and were all made to feel very comfortable indeed by friendly staff and excellent food. Great position, comfortable rooms and all in all a perfect location for walking in the Cotswolds.

Maybe it depends on your room? We had a first floor Superior room in the annex at £220 B and B. No view unless you count tiny window blocked by large tree. The skylight had no blackout blind so best for early risers on a bright day. Comfortable bed and efficient shower but poorly furnished with stained old brown furniture.... More

We stayed here to be close to family who were renting in the village for a birthday celebration. Arriving on the Friday we were shown up to out room overlooking the garden and terrace by a very friendly and helpful receptionist. I had made a prior booking for the evening meal knowing that they can be very busy. Our meal... More
