The hotel has a very pleasant country pub feel and is situated in a quiet Cotswold village, the breakfast had all you would expect, hot breakfast and cold buffet, nice decor - and we enjoyed the evening meals in the same room, well cooked and good selection. We stayed in the Manor suite, very suitable for a family with older... More

It's hard to remember when we received such amazing service, very rare these days. All of the staff were fantastic and get our huge thanks for making our stay so special but special thanks to Abby who organised everything for us. As a group of 16 it could so easily have been a chore but nothing was too much trouble... More

Although the Sunday lunch here is perhaps a bit more pricey than a pub sunday lunch, our lunch in the restaurant at the Slaughters was fantastic. The food was tasty and plentiful and the service very efficient. Give a try, you will not be disappointed!

We very much enjoyed our 4-night stay, and I would have rated the inn as a 5-star establishment but for a couple of aspects which could easily be fixed by management. First, the positive: the inn is located in one of the most beautiful villages in the Cotswolds and has its own beautiful location within the village, by the river... More

On our holiday road trip, we were thrilled to get the last available room at the Slaughter country inn, perfectly situated in the stunning village of Lower Slaughter. We had a Junior suite, this was in a separate building to the inn, a courtyard style arrangement with a grassy green in the middle. The suite was a lovely large sitting... More

Stayed here for a wedding which was being held in a nearby village in early September. Booked a superior room and on our late arrival got bumped up into one of the cottages in the grounds. I guess we should have been pleased but actually, sometimes you just want a room rather than an upstairs and a downstairs. I sound... More

Perfect place to stay in the Cotswolds ideal walking/cycling base. Rooms are a very good standard, we stayed in a standard twin and it was very comfortable with a very large bathroom. Very clean. The service was top notch. Only down side is because you are staying in one of the most beautiful villages in the UK it gets busy... More

We were looking for an overnight stop en route from Northamptonshire to Slimbridge. We were very happy to find a competitive deal for a stay at this beautiful spot. The village is 'picture postcard' and the hotel itself feels like a continuation of the village, with the buildings and grounds beautifully presented. The welcome was excellent, and we were shown,... The Slaughters Country Inn was the venue for our wedding on the last weekend of August, and we are so happy that we chose to get married here. We have, along with our parents, racked our brains to think of anything that was less than top-notch with the service we received and we are unable to do so. Although the... More

I stayed on a Sunday night and got a bargain rate. It was a beautiful day and I visited the beautiful but very busy Bourton on the Water so arriving at Lower Slaughter the tranquility of the setting was wonderful. I had a lovely room close to reception and chose to eat in the bar. Food was superb and staff... More
