The best bit about this place is a good restaurant where you can see the kitchen at your table. The guest book calls this 'excellent theatre'. I stayed in a converted stable block which had a great bathroom, good quality furniture and fittings and bed linen well above its class. My room (17) however was immediately dissapoining. It's a long... More

Lovely evening with the family. Food good. Wasn't that keen on my pork not much flavour and no seasoning. Portions all on the small side. But boys loved there burgers. Lovely gardens so kids played football. Lovely evening and will go back as very relaxing

My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights for a leisure break. I booked a superior room but on arrival the welcoming girl on the desk informed us that we had a double upgrade to one of the best rooms. It just carried on from there really. The room was great. Large, tastefully furnished with modern fittings... More

Waited a long time for a table which usually is a good sign?!? We waited in the now very tired lounge area with nibbles-(Sofas really need replacing, bloody cold in there and few stray cobwebs. There were overpowering onions on the humus and not enough pitta bread but other than that fine, order more pitta bread and get more hummus... More

A fantastic night stay in a comfortable, clean and cosy hotel. We had a separate room for our children with a TV which kept them quiet for a while. Very child friendly with a big field for running and a football goal. The staff were outstanding. We dined in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast and the food was delicious!!... More

We needed a good quality hotel close to the hospital. This hotel offered a fantastic option compared to any chain. Rooms are spacious and nicely furnished. Free wifi, good TV selection and lovely views of the beautiful grounds. An individual hotel, ideal for a wedding or romantic break. My only comment was that although the quality of the cooked breakfast... More

We have stayed here a few times over the past year or two. Since staying in a couple of different rooms we now always pre book the same room if it's available at time of booking as it's the quietest room and that is the most important factor when booking any hotel room in the world and if it's not... Stayed a couple of nights. Rooms lovely although a tad warm. Communal areas nicely / quirkily decorated. Food excellent although needing to write out dinner orders is a pain and saves zero time for either diner or waiter. Try their Malbec if you have a steak - top notch.

We stayed for our 25th wedding anniversary and had a fantastic time. We took advantage of their summer deal of £110 per person to include bed, breakfast and evening meal. We were upgraded free of charge to their best room which was amazing. All the food we ate was fantastic and wished I could have eaten more! Would recommend it... More

I booked a night here for my husbands birthday, and wasn't disappointed. We had a beautiful room overlooking the gardens. We sat on the verandah for afternoon drinks, and had a wonderful meal in the evening in the restaurant. The staff are friendly & immaculately dressed, you are able from the restaurant to watch the chefs @ work. We had... More
