I've stayed at the stowey a few times now an i must say our last stay was far far from what it used to be. The food menu is now poor and over priced the glasses in the bar are filthy and the cleanliness of the rooms has deteriorated so much so that our toilet wasn't even flushed before we... More

Decided to find a decent Sunday lunch locally so called here. Friendly and welcoming lady. Lunch was a great price at £5.95 and content was good, although could have been a tad hotter. Meat was cooked just right (pork & beef), with roast potatoes, yorkshire and a good selection of veg. It was help yourself so you could choose your... More

Visited recently with family all of us had food. Food was ok service was very good tho! All of us agreed that while the food was not bad as such for the price it could be much better. They do 2 meals for £10 but we all opted to go for something on the regular menu. The meals worked out... More

Sorry but we did not have a good stay here. We were not in a clean and comfy room. The second day we returned to find the room had not been serviced and the tea and coffee etc. had not been replenished. We queried this and were told that it was only serviced every two days! I have never known... More

The food was awful - so bad I couldn't even eat it. I had the fish and chips and the fish was hard, maybe it was old and out of date.....the chef didn't know what was wrong with it! I ate a few chips and came home hungry. The pub was dirty - sticky tables they hadn't bothered to wipe... More

Since change of management standards have severely slipped. Ate there once, luckily it was 2 for £10, wasn't even worth that. It's a shame, it could be a lovely village pub with a bit of care and clean up.

We stayed at The Stowey Arms on a Saturday night to go to a friends 40th at the Golf Club. For the money we paid it is about expected. The bed was comfortable, the room was ample and the breakfast was good. Only downside was the wood flooring in the landing was noisy when people walked down it. I'd assume... More

We ate here in April and honestly wish we hadn't. The food was disgusting and over priced. The staff were rude and had a not bothered attitude. The managers lack experience in running a bar / restaurant their language is fowl. Customer services skills are non existent. The whole place stinks of urine and is unclean. Want a nice meal...
