I spent a magical week at Las Chimeneas. David and Emma know how to spoil their guests and they are so kind and helpful. We had a week of yoga under the expert care of Carrie, who is a wonderfully patient and experienced teacher. We were so well looked after by everyone there and the food was the best vegetarian... I went for a week of yoga with Carrie - which was fabulous - and the welcome there was so warm and friendly. Our every need was catered for and in between yoga sessions we went for some fabulous walks. David and Emma are happy to organise trips, driving us where necessary and walking with us and pointing out interesting... More

Emma and David run a tight ship at Las Chimeneas, providing their guests with everything they could possibly need. Nothing is too much trouble for them and the service is delivered with such an air of calm that it's infectious! I have just returned from a week-long yoga retreat taught by the wonderful Carrie of http://www.carrie-yoga.co.uk/#. We had a two-hour... More

I spent a week participating in yoga with a wonderful teacher called Carrie. The venue for the yoga was exceptional, it was under the shade in a place called the Finka, overlooking the valley. The accommodation was simple and sufficient, the food at the restaurant was second to none. We had a lovely three course vegetarian meal every day, better... More

We spent four delightful days at Las chimineas in May. A really different side of Spain brought to life by hosts Emma and David. Charming accommodation in a house full of character. Wonderful views of the countryside and maps and notes provided for walks through olive and almond groves. Amazing dinners every night using local produce. Cheery and helpful staff.... More

This is a wonderful place to walk from with lovely walks from the village out into the Alpajurras. The hosts, Emma and David, are incredibly friendly and knowledgable. The restaurant food is wonderful with a nice range of local wines. The room we had was quirky but nice. Very informal and a perfect walking base.

We have just stayed for a week in a delightful little house belonging to Las Chimeneas which was just right for a relaxing break with some walking. Our hosts were so very helpful with everything, especially with advice for cooler walks. The food was superb - a choice of three options for each course at dinner and we could have... More

After extricating ourselves from the car hire counter at Malaga airport we had an enjoyable drive through the southern Spanish countryside to arrive at the oasis which was Las Chimeneas in Mairena. This was to be our home for the next week while we explored Las Alpujarras, in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada. We were welcomed by David and... More

From being picked up at Almeria airport, by Emma, to leaving three days later everything was perfect. Position of Las Chimeneas was great with views across the Fincas and valley, room was very comfortable and big, the food was excellent, walking was splendid and David and Emma went just that little bit further to make the stay as good as... Sometimes you remember a place for ever, this has gone onto that list for us, for so many reasons. We wanted sunshine, good food and some walking - we got all 3 and more in mid February when England was drowning. Hills covered in almond blossom, very kind and hospitable hosts, delicious food made from local ingredients and cooked with... More
