We had a great stay here for a few nights in August with our two young daughters. Emma and David are great hosts and helped us make the most of our time there. It’s a lovely part of the world, the self contained little house we were in was very well presented and good value for money.

I arrived on Sunday afternoon and I was totally enchanted and delighted on my arrival by Las Chimeneas. Not only by the hotel, and my very comfortable bed in a lovely immaculately clean room under the terrace with a view over the valley. but also by Emma and David, Jill, Soledad and Andrew....,The staff were so hospitable, friendly and helpful.... We only stayed one night but have to echo the sentiments of the vast majority of previous reviewers. We were touring the Alpujarras by car, not walking and therefore cannot comment on walking aspects. However, both Emma and David were extremely welcoming and obviously had extensive knowledge of both the local region as well as journeys farther afield. The room... More

Good Attractive building, good plunge pool, lovely view over valley, good shower, clean accommodation. Air-conditioning in the bedroom, which was not required for our stay as it was pleasantly cool over night, even though it had been hot during the day. Friendly welcome from a local lady who lived nearby and worked in the property. She came to find us... More

I spent a magical week at Las Chimeneas. David and Emma know how to spoil their guests and they are so kind and helpful. We had a week of yoga under the expert care of Carrie, who is a wonderfully patient and experienced teacher. We were so well looked after by everyone there and the food was the best vegetarian... I went for a week of yoga with Carrie - which was fabulous - and the welcome there was so warm and friendly. Our every need was catered for and in between yoga sessions we went for some fabulous walks. David and Emma are happy to organise trips, driving us where necessary and walking with us and pointing out interesting... More

Emma and David run a tight ship at Las Chimeneas, providing their guests with everything they could possibly need. Nothing is too much trouble for them and the service is delivered with such an air of calm that it's infectious! I have just returned from a week-long yoga retreat taught by the wonderful Carrie of http://www.carrie-yoga.co.uk/#. We had a two-hour... More

I spent a week participating in yoga with a wonderful teacher called Carrie. The venue for the yoga was exceptional, it was under the shade in a place called the Finka, overlooking the valley. The accommodation was simple and sufficient, the food at the restaurant was second to none. We had a lovely three course vegetarian meal every day, better... More

We spent four delightful days at Las chimineas in May. A really different side of Spain brought to life by hosts Emma and David. Charming accommodation in a house full of character. Wonderful views of the countryside and maps and notes provided for walks through olive and almond groves. Amazing dinners every night using local produce. Cheery and helpful staff.... More

This is a wonderful place to walk from with lovely walks from the village out into the Alpajurras. The hosts, Emma and David, are incredibly friendly and knowledgable. The restaurant food is wonderful with a nice range of local wines. The room we had was quirky but nice. Very informal and a perfect walking base.
