We arrived at around 21.30 in a thunderstorm. The welcome was delightful, including a welcome half bottle of their Glorioso crianza wine and a waiter's friend corkscrew as guest gifts. We stayed in the delightful "tempranillo" room (number 1) - the only one with the amazing view across rolling countryside. Or that night into fantastic lightning storms. We went almost... More

Fabulous staff. Great breakfast. Great location with views. Traditional Spanish in it's design able to view the wine cellars as well. Restaurant looked lovely and it's food we were eating with friends on their own vineyard so unable to partake this time. We were the only 2 rooms occupied after the Laguardia festival when it was fully booked but we... More

Located in a winery that was closed to visitor during our stay. Other wineries were close by so the stay wasn't wasted. Restaurant was a bit expensive but there was a good one close by. Rooms were nice, but could be noisy due to bare wood floors in the rooms. Laguardia is difficult to visit due to the extreme lack... More

This hotel is in the old winery, with the new building located just next door. Simple, but large and nice room, with a slightly outdated bathroom. Not much of a view from our room (9 I think), but I believe other rooms may be better (overlooking the wine ranks). We got a small bottle of the wine from the wineyard... More

We picked this property because it has been our experience that hotels in vineyards usually have excellent restaurants providing gourmet menus to pair up with their excellent wines. We were very disappointed in the dinner that was served to us the 1 night we spent at this hotel. To give this hotel the benefit of the doubt, it may have... More

The staff at this hotel were so friendly and helpful. We were the only people staying at the end of October, so they gave us their best room "Tempranillo", which was really spacious and had a lovely view over the vineyards (beautiful colours at this time of year). We ate in the restaurant one night and were very impressed with... More

We just spent two nights at this beautiful hotel as part of a 2 week trip in Northern Spain. The location is perfect - Laguardia is a great base for exploring Rioja - and the property is beautiful. We had 2 rooms, both had windows with shutters that could black out the rooms at night (very important in sunny Rioja)... More

Every room has a name after the wine they make, they are nice and colourful. The only minor problem the panel floor is moving slightly as you walk. They are a 10 minutes walk, to the top of the hill to reach Laguardia town, it is refreshing when you walk but relaxing on a way back. Very nice cellar/museum. They... More

Exploring La Rioja/Alavesa wine region was an eye-opener for me and staying in this hotelas the perfect jump off. I agree with the other reviewers that the Tempranillo room is the best, but this is a quiet hotel, with few rooms, situated in the vinyard. We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant (apart from grapes, the local produce is... More
