We chose this hotel, which isn't in La Guardia proper, because you can't take cars into La Guardia itself. The Villa La Guardian sits about 10 minutes' walk south of the beautiful old town, down the hill. The hotel is modern, clean, comfortable and evidently well run. The landscaped grounds are neat, well planted and maintained and there is a... More

Lovely hotel within walking distance to Laguardia. Amazing view from the room. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Pool closed out of season but a great spa on site. Paid for onsite. We visited as part of a wine tour of the region. Taster menu very good.

The only reason that this hotel only gets a good is the bed! The service, the restaurant and staff are all very friendly and accommodating. We are in a junior suit which is very large and clean with a spectacular view over the Sierra. The hotel restaurant like so many lacks a bit of atmosphere but the gastronomy does not... More

This hotel has a very welcoming vibe with a family run feel, yet still professional. The hotel is showing signs of age but the rooms are very presentable, clean and comfortable. A lick of paint in a few of the public areas is all it needs, and is by no means shabby. The breakfast is comprehensive and supported by attentive... More

Having spent a great deal of time in the La Rioja Province, I've known about this gem of a hotel for some time. When choosing to stay nearby due to a business commitment in Logroño, Spain, the 10 min. drive was nothing compared to the quality experience I had at this hotel. Laguardia is in essence a medieval city that... More

I stayed 2 nights in a standard room with a slight view. The location was a very good base for exploring Rioja attractions. The room was spacious and clean - but with a slightly tired look. Wifi was very good. Reception staff spoke English and were polite and helpful. I did not eat at El Medoc fine dining restaurant -... More

Plumbing can be an adventure in Europe and this stay was a doozy. The shower head was the type that nests in a holder but can be removed. The water came out with such force that it rotated the head and flooded the bathroom. It obviously had occurred before because the wooden bathroom door had 3" of damage on the... More

We used this hotel as our home base to explore many areas. One of the main reasons we chose it is because the restaurant would cater to me as a vegetarian. And they did! The rooms were slightly dated but super clean and the beds were comfy. Our room looked out to the restaurant patio that we spent a lot... More

We used this hotel as a base to explore the wineries in the area as well as Laguardia itself. It was very convenient and easy to get in and out--and free parking! To the town, we walked up in ten minutes and then got lazy and drove up at night. The reception staff was very friendly and helpful, and the... More

Idea location for you to explore the local Bodegas, as well as only 10 min walk (up hill) to the 'Traffic free' (including bicycles) town of Laguardia with it's many cafe/bar/restauarants and of course wine sellers ... definitely stay at this hotel again, friendly, helpful staff, good food.
