Very comfortable small hotel that avoids the Basel traffic if you're business in outside of the city. well appointed rooms, facility kept very clean, attentive and accommodating staff, free WiFi, good breakfast. As well the hotel has a very good restaurant. They are tied to a butcher shop adjoining the property, so the best choices are the meat dishes. Dinner... More

Although this hotel is expensive, it is effectively a 4-star Swiss Hotel, so you must expect to pay handsomely for the rooms and food compared to the UK. We had just driven all the way from Calais (and in a lot of rain) but the meal we had in the restaurant was excellent as was the service. The rooms are... More

This is the noisiest Hotel that I have ever stayed at anywhere in the World. The church bells every 15 minutes are bad enough, delivery trucks start at the rear from 5:30 am and continue for hours with guys pushing trolleys over cobble stones. Room are spartan, bathrooms small, water runs hot the cold. Tried to an iron but "... More

195CH Francs for the room which has the classic Swiss/German single beds with Duvet, so about 20 years out of date, curtains which don't block out the street lights at the front, annoying waiting staff in the Restaurant and 109 CH francs for 2 courses and a glass of wine. You are better than this place.

The Hotel is a wonderfully kept historic building. We stayed in a large twin room. It was clean, tidy and modern. The faculties in the room were lovely: range of teas, spring water and even some local delicacies. Wonderful location and very quiet at night (aside from the church bells) The service was very good, and the breakfast amazing. We... More

The halls are a bit cold, but they're awesome because they have motion sensor lights! All the rooms have amazing views and they're clean and simple. The bathrooms are nice. The location is smack in the middle of the cutest little town ever! Now...my favorite part: COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST!!! OH MY GOODNESS is it wonderfully delicious! I am going back again,... More

Forget staying in Basel ....... here is a Hotel with great, quick (30 min on the tram) connections to Basel City (no 10 tram) and yet it is in a typical, immaculate (if you like that kind of thing), Swiss village. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good .... the dinner is... More
