Three of us were cycling NCN 24, and needed a stop over in this area. Paulene was a great host and the room and facilities were excellent. There was a lockable shed for our bikes too! Very tasty breakfast..perfect start to the day. Local pub was excellent for an evening meal. Recommend this b and b with no hesitations!

Thank you Pauline and Barry for your wonderful hospitality. From the moment we arrived outside and were greeted by Pauline, our stay at the Old Post House was perfect. Situated in a lovely English village it ticked all the boxes for us. Immaculate, airy rooms, soft beds and a beautiful cooked breakfast each morning. Centrally located to all the tourist... More

Charming village with charming hosts - typical informal perfect English countryside experience. Excellent breakfast - immaculate rooms. Friendly Village Pub 4 mintes walk - fields with lambs in spring. Conveniently located to nearby attractions. Be sure to find Sherrington - another idyllic area village. Pauline and Barry will direct you. Highly recommended.

Wow, I cannot recommend this beautiful village and bed & breakfast high enough. The house and the rooms are just superb. Pauline and Barry are perfect hosts, informative, extremely helpful and very friendly. We stayed for one night and we had the most perfect time, finished off with the best cooked breakfast ever. We came, brother and sister, in late winter, approaching the village, its water- meadows and working farms by the old arched bridge across the lovely Wylye River as people have been doing for some 800 years (across the eponymous ford before the bridge was built of course.) The village is embedded in the old landscape, most of its walls and... More

My family of four spent one night at The Old Post House in absolutely charming Great Wishford in January. A great base from which to visit Salisbury, Stonehenge, Bath etc. We would highy recomment this lovely, quiet establishment. Great hosts, fabulous breakfast, clean crisp beds.

I am always a little anxious when I book accommodation: Will it be quiet - inside and outside? Will the hosts be pleasant and helpful? Barb and I were so pleased with our choice. All that one expects of a quintessential English village B & B is right here. So rewarding in every way. Paulene and Barry advised us of... More

My friend Emily and I had a splendid stay with Paulene and Barry. The house is nothing less than charming and that full English breakfast prepared by them was something that will stay with me always. The place was extremely clean, warm and the beds super comfortable. We were on holiday in London and wanted to head down to Stonehenge... More

We wanted a B&B close enough to Salisbury and Stonehenge, but far enough along on our drive to Wales to get us out of the traffic. This B&B is truly an old Post Office, so we didn't expect huge or modern, so were quite happy with the historic value of the place (including the "dungeon" where the non-paying guests end... More

Paulene welcomed us into her home as if we were old friends. This B&B has only three rooms, and all are well appointed and spotless. Room was a decent size. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms small but adequate. Well done considering this building is very old. Breakfast, cooked to order, was generous and delicious. The village of Great Wishford is...
