We really enjoyed our stay at the liddesdale, from the initial welcome to the last goodbye the staff were extremely accommodating. When we had a minor road accident and would not meet the arranged dinner schedule, we arrived in our room to find sandwiches along with a nice note which really made our terrible evening a lot brighter. The food... More

Situated in a sleepy village with very friendly locals and amidst beautiful scenery, this small hotel is an absolute gem. Although we arrived early we were met with a warm welcome and shown to a spotlessly clean room overlooking Douglas Square. The lounge bar has an inviting open fire and there is the option of taking evening meals here too.... More

We wanted to book somewhere to get away from it all for New Year, and this little hotel certainly did the trick. The location is wonderful, right in the heart of some fantastic walking and cycling. The village itself has everything you need, and the hotel bar is always very friendly and welcoming. The staff could not have been more... More

I'm not a fan of KGB Shopping, but I've indulged, with my fiancee, in a number of their KGB Destinations trips. This was the latest one. Lovely pub/hotel/restaurant in the Borders. Lovely little town, (great butcher's shop), set in great countryside. If you like walking or cross-country cycling it's a great destination. The hotel? Excellent. Clean, comfortable and very friendly.... More

Me and my partner went to the hotel for 2 nights, had a lovely time, the staff were friendly and the food was great. Room was cosy too and had a nice atmosphere in the hotel all day. Some great walks near by and the locals were very friendly too. Would definitely go back :)

The staff were very friendly at this small hotel which we visited on a KGB deal. The room was small, but comfortable - though the TV had a rather metallic sound. However, the restaurant was superb, with the most delicious food I have enjoyed for a long while.

Stayed last week whilst on business, arrived mid afternoon and was made to feel very welcome. Breakfast arranged the following morning to meet with my diary commitments. Great evening meal, had the best Steak Pie I have ever eaten, great atmosphere and made very welcome by the locals. Will definitely stay again, good value.

We enjoyed a 2 night break with KGB deal ,the staff were very nice and helpful. The food was perfect ,and Tom the chef,s choice of music added to our stay. We were in room 1 and the only snag was the heating didnt work, but they gave us a small heater which did the job. The room was clean and... More
