This is a perfect case of getting what you paid for. We paid £19 per room (two rooms were required as we are a family of 4) and were satisfied with what we got. The rooms are small, the toilet and shower facilities are shared and whist it was busy, the facilities were clean. As a place to stay after... More

Paid £19 for a double room. At this price it's excellent value for money but don't expect any frills. Shared bathrooms, little more than a bed and washbasin in the room etc. Great for somewhere to sleep when just off the ferry but not exactly inspiring.

We responded to an e mail offering special rates and as the e mail came from Accor hotels we assumed that it would be their usual standard and it never occurred to us that there would not be an ensuite bathroom. The booking stated that the room was a few feet from a toilet in fact it was a good... More

We had a brief stay just before we got our ferry. It was ok and I have no complaints really. The room was very clean, adequate towels, clean and comfy bed. It was quiet and we slept well. The showers and toilets were always clean whenever we used them with plentiful hot water. I felt security was ok. The problem... More

This is the fourth time I've stayed here, and this is the first time I have had problems. It seems the management has changed resulting the place going downhill - fast. Was originally booked into a room that smelt of smoke really bad, got changed and the room smelt like bleach, so sign of a clean room. My mother's room... More

Having stayed in Formula 1 hotels before, I knew what to expect.... I thought. The hotel was dirty, smelly and stank of smoke. From outside you can watch everyone standing at their open windows smoking. One toilet was blocked, another had no toilet paper and the third had pee over the seat, surround and floor, as well as fag ash... More

You get what you pay for. This was a very basic smoky smelling room in a shabby motel in an industrial area of Dunkirk. We were not comfortable with the security of our car in the car park given the shifty looking individuals milling around. We would not stop there again. We would spend a bit more money and stay... Got off the DFDS Seaways ferry in Dunkirk at 9:30 pm and followed SatNav to the hotel. Good parking in a remote location was a relief. It took me a minute or so to work out how to get into the automated check in machine, but once started the process was simple. Just touch the screen and choose the English... More

Having used these hotels on many occasions for overnight stop overs this has to be the worst example I have ever stayed in. It was dirty throughout, the showers were black and toilets also. Our room smelt awful............... It was the first time for my other half and it was embarrassing for me to take her there. I know these... More

When you pay a very tiny amount for a hotel like the HotelF1 chain I don't expect the World, I expect something very small and basic. I'm only after a bed for a couple of hours in-between travels. This fits the bill perfectly. The shower and toilet facilities being down the hall is a bit of a weird concept at... More
