We were a little disappointed as we approached the hotel because we had imagined it away from the centre and the main road more. However we received a very nice welcome by Jenny and given a choice of rooms - opting for a front, corner room with dual aspect on the second floor. Small but well appointed;clean and we grew to... OK, high season, booked last moment, found a family room half board. Very nice people, room was fine, nice decor as rest hotel, though the food was expensive and over priced. OK Ski area, although a bit on the outskirts.

We stayed for one night while passing through the Alps. The hotel was very welcoming and the facilities were excellent. Sadly the restaurant was closed on Monday night, but the breakfast provided was very good indeed and the room was comfortable. There was also a small outdoor pool and a sauna and steam room - just what we needed after... More

Stayed here for a stopover on the way to Italy and loved everything about the hotel. Its in a great location in Praz sur Arly, which is a quieter village than neighbouring Megeve. The hotel restaurant was great and had a good mix of guests and locals. Most rooms have balconies so you can sit and watch the sun sink... More

This already was our fifth stay and we intend to come back, need we say more! Since our last stay they extended their service with a brand new chalet offering appartments for families. The staff is excellent, food is fine and the rooms are wonderfully furnished.

Our 2 night stay in this hotel was quite enjoyable, with the exception of some basic comfort measures that were lacking in our room. Nevertheless, the alpine setting of La Griyotire is very charming, peaceful and scenic and we felt it was very centrally located between Chamonix and Annecy. We especially enjoyed listening to the cow bells jingling on the... More

This is a first class hotel that invites you to relax as soon as you walk through the door, the surroundings are beautiful and the village is great with a number of restaurants available although the food at the hotel is so good I doubt you would need them. We had a room with a great balcony and a stunning... More

We took a Tour de France group to this charming hotel in July 2009 and couldn't have been happier. At first I was hesitant because the hotel is only about 200 metres from the Megeve highway but noise was never a problem. The rooms are comfortable and the wood authentic (rather than the stapled-on wood you often see in lower-end... More
