What a great find, I picked this hotel as I'd read an article in a UK Classic Car mag and thought it would be quite interesting to try it. Weren't we the lucky ones, great hotel at a very sensible price. My French is abysmal, so the folks here were great. Lovely evening meal and wine (about 20 euros each),... More

As previous reviewers have said this hotel has recently been refurbished to a high standard. Our room (a superior room) was large, sympathetically re-decorated to fit the style and history of the hotel, had plenty of storage, comfy beds and spotlessly clean. The hotel is in the center of the town on the edge of the square; great for people... More

We were travelling back from Spain and needed an overnight stop. What a great place to find. If you have ever wanted to stay in a little French village this is the place. The hotel has recently been refurbished to a high standard. It is full of motor history from Le Mans. You do not have to be a car... More

Our party of 8 greatly enjoyed our stay in this quaint hotel in a lovely French village - exactly what we were looking for. Both of our quad rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. Staff were attentive without being overbearing. On site restaurant was an unexpected treat - we enjoyed a lovely dinner and this meal ended up being the... More

This hotel is on the main market square and the rooms have recently been refurbished to a very high standard. If you love cars then you will enjoy looking at all the memorabilia on the walls showing the historic car brands that have prepared for the Le Mans at the hotel and also in the market square. If the sun... More

This hotel has been recently renovated to an excellent standard, without any sacrifice of atmosphere. All rooms are named after racing drivers (its about an hour drive from Le Mans) and ours was large with a four poster bed, three armchairs, flat screen TV, pristine en-suite and two large window overlooking the small and attractive town square. There is a... More

Many hotels are rated more highly than the should be. The Hotel de France has only 2 stars, but is worth a 4 star rating. The rooms are beautifully and comfortably furnished, the staff are friendly and helpful, the food is good and the prices are reasonable. And there is a swimming pool. A great place to stay. There is... More

Sadly we only spent one night in this wonderful hotel, en route home at the end of our holiday. But what a wonderful experience it was - the room was very tastefully furnished & even had tea/ coffee making facilities- so rare in France. In the restaurant we ate one of the best meals we have ever had in France... More

Just returned from a week in this delightful hotel. Newly refurbished in outstanding style without overdoing the links to the Le Mans racing fraternity. Its close proximity to several chateaux means it's also right for the history enthusiast. Helpful and friendly staff who speak English as well as French. The heated outdoor pool was the icing on the cake. We... More
